Ideas please

My DS is nearly 2 and has been going to his CM for 4 months (so 5 by xmas) 4 days a week and she is lovely.

What shall I get her? I'm a bit clueless!

Anything....

As a cm I am always grateful for any gifts that are brought by parents (so many people don't think about buying their fab cm something for xmas!!). I especially like things that have been chosen as they mean something or have been made by a mindee...best present last year was a wibbly wobbly un matching bead bracelet made by a mindee. Presents certainly don't have to cost much...Im always equally happy with presents brought by families for my 2 children rather than for me.

I second anything

I don't think less of the families who don't reciprocate xmas gifts, but is soo nice to know you are appreciated and thought about, I would be over the moon with any present. Us CMs are a soft lot, and well up at the thought of thoughtful families.

A day off!!

I agree it is lovely to get presents and know you are appriciated. I would be happy with some chocs or flowers though, but that depends on how many mindees your CM has as nobody wants 10 bunches of flowers which I think teachers end up with a lot of the time.

My parents know me so well - it's usually a bottle of wine (or 2! After all, on what we earn we can't afford it ourselves........!

Maybe I'll get her a bottle of wine - I know she likes a tipple. Do you reckon white is safest bet?

My DS is a bit little to make her something but I might get him to 'help' make her a card
