I am a new childminder and am desperate to start minding. I have advertised locally and introduced myself to the local playgroups.. I dont do the school run any more as my daughter catches the school coach. i am thinking of putting an advert in our local newspaper,, any opinions or advice would be very welcome....

The best place is the CIS, this is where I have got most of my cold callers from. I also have my number in the yellow pages, which has produced some enquiries.

Link to CIS

I've just bumped the advertising tips thread up for someone else, might be worth looking at that.
