Hope you're all feeling better and all the nasty bugs have died in the cold.

Have a good day.

Good morning!!

So nice to be not working. One of my parents asked if i wold babysit for them next week. Would i be allowed to do it here dya think? Don't fancy sitting at theirs all night. They are going to a wedding so they may get back a lot later than they say they are going to iyswim?

I have no idea how much to charge either.

SammyK · 29/11/2008 08:55

Hi

Off to an information day today about fostering with DP.

aGal - if you want to do it, do it on your terms, for an amount that reflects overnighter on a weekend.

coolj - haven't been to cinema for ages, what are you going to watch?

coolj · 29/11/2008 09:17

Hi SammyK, we are going to see Madagascar 2. Cant wait. Good Luck with the Foster meeting. We have discussed this too. We did look into it a couple of years ago but left it for a while as our youngest was only 1. My partner keeps bringing it up but im not sure. Dont know if I would have to give up childminding or not. Let me know how you get on.

Morning all, I am working this weekend, so the boys are currently playing with the little people - fire station, train station etc and we are popping into twickenham later (if I can a) get in with the rugby traffic and b) get ds1 to shift his bottom off of his x-box!!)

Have a good day

NumberFour · 29/11/2008 11:26

hello, everyone.

weekend at last! that means DH is taking DS swimming so that I can catch up on a few things. though I probably will sleep. i am still very sore from the D&V bug. my shoulders, neck and arms are so sore. and i missed my Christmas do with my best CM mates last night....

Enjoy the movie, coolj! And good luck with the info day, Sammyk. I used to agree to babysitting weekends, too, aGal, but I just cannot face it anymore.

Hi, Mums! have a good weekend.

KatyMac · 29/11/2008 11:40

Morning all (but only just)

I got up about 30 mins ago & made myself a steak sandwich....accreditation work starts after I have tidied up

mumnosbest · 29/11/2008 14:59

Hi all!
Hope you're all well! I'm just using every avoidance strategy I can think of befor I face the pile of clean clothes on my sofa. No more excuses DD is asleep and DS is out with DH. Any other excuses quick? I'm running out!

KatyMac · 29/11/2008 15:37

'avoidance' Hmm yep I do that

'Ironing' Hmm no DH does that

mumlove · 29/11/2008 18:48

Evening everyone.

Where has today gone?
I had 3 hours this afternoon without DD, So decided to get the shopping done takes about an hour and then have 2 hours to relax and catch up with a couple of tv programmes I recorded.
Well it didn't happen because shopping took 2 hours!! The shop was packed, and an elderly couple couldn't decide what present to buy for a child who's birthday is in February so took up the whole width of the aisle.

Please let me sleep all day tomorrow .

mumnosbest · 29/11/2008 21:05

After playing on MN, searching ebay for bargains and a few games of minesweeper on the computer(way too addictive), I finally got that pile of ironing sorted! I think I now deserve to waste a bit more time on mn

KatyMac · 30/11/2008 10:23

Shall we have a sunday staffroom or recycle this one?

Morning everyone

SEF/Accreditation/OU paperwork today (I hope I do better than yesterday)

& DD came 6th in her comp (proud mum alert)

NumberFour · 30/11/2008 10:29

KatyM, that's brilliant! WEll done to your daughter. I saw your post yesterday about the accreditation..... wondered if I could help.... thought I could not - so did not add anything. Sorry! Was hoping I could.

Still have my policies to update, SEF to do, attendance registers to update and newsletters to parents to do. DH wants to put new silicone in the bathroom and go down to the tip today. That will take preference because I have been wanting him to go to the tip for about 3 months!!!!!!

WhileShosheWatchedHerFlocks · 30/11/2008 10:48

I went and bought all the books yesterday for Santa to give out at the Children's Party on 17th December, 4 CM's have got together and we have it at the local soft play, who are brilliant to us and give us a CM price to get in and a CM deal for the party.

Got home and DH had put up all the outside lights and then DGD and I put up the trees and indoor lights.

All the Family for dinner today (Rolled shoulder of Lamb, Yum)then a sleep on the sofa I think.

mumsanutter · 30/11/2008 12:10

Cor my head hurts, as mums stumbles into the staffroom looking for nurofen!!

Little too much peach shnapps and lemonade last night with my sister and her dh, they came round to give me some adult company!! Not looking forward to tomorrow, got my hospital appointment, so suppose was trying to forget about that for a while.

Katy, congrats to your dd. Weird question, sorry what sort of dancing does she do?

No4, good luck with the dh diy and tip run. I have had to try and do this myslef, but as dh should be home this week I am now writing him a list of 'chores'

Shoshe, hope you have a good lunch, and sounds like your house should look nice - I'm leaving doing the decs until dh gets home so that we can do them all together. Hope you get your sleep (wish I could have some)

Mums wanders back around the room still looking for the nurofen and a very comfortable chair to doze in...

KatyMac · 30/11/2008 13:51

DD does ballroom & latin & is 6th in the cha-cha (for her age & stage)

I think the problem I am having with the accreditation is I don't understand the phrasing 'evidense of my understanding for'

It just seems odd

mumsanutter · 30/11/2008 14:25

Wow, I always wanted to do that (would still like to but would cost me a fortune paying a babysitter etc so it will have to wait!)

That sounds like bad english no wonder you can't get your head round it. Good luck, my head hurts (original headache had cleared when ds4 hit me round the head with a toy train!!) without having to do any paperwork today.

KatyMac · 30/11/2008 14:27

I love it but the adult class is on a Tuesday DD has guides needs collecting at 8:30 & it doesn't finish until 9:30 - so no chance

Babysitting is very hard to find

nochildren · 30/11/2008 19:00

if anyones still around, are you able to help with this?
