Morning,

I agree no4 needs to be in bed (hopefully not been bullied into working!!).

Had a better night last night, with ds3 having his first dry night (I forgot to put a nappy on him!) and ds4 slept a bit better.
I just want to get out of the house. but the spots aren't all scabbed over yet, so a little more time at home!!!

Hope everyone has a good day

Morning, Shoshe and Mums!

I am feeling lots lots better today though my back is very sore.

All my families, bar one, told me not to be ridiculous when I offered to have the kids today. The only one I have is the child of the unusually rude mum so i have a drop off and after school collection.

Thanks for you support. I really appreciate it.

A few of us childminders have arranged to go out tonight for supper and a little glass of wine (yeah, right!!) but I don't feel up to going!!!!!! And my new top I ordered arrived yesterday and it is lovely!

Mums, well done on DS3's dry night! I chuckled when I read you had forgotten to put on a nappy... with your household I am not surprise! When does DH get back again?

Hope life is treating you kindly, shoshe. I must get showered before my mindee arrives. The awful thing is that I know she would have been in the car with her mother when she was screeching at me on the phone. God alone knows what else she said about me to her child and now the poor kid is coming to me.

KatyMac · 28/11/2008 08:03

Mean & nasty tho' it is - I kinda hope her child gets it & throws up al weekend

Actually even I'm not that nasty - but it would serve her right

Morning all

DH & DD have gone off to Blackpool leaving me behind, I'm hovering between delight (at a weekend of quiet) and despair (at not going to the competition)

I maybe 'needy' this weekend

southernbelle77 · 28/11/2008 08:15

Morning. I feel like death warmed up today. No wonder really when in the last week I have had to send 3 children home ill as apparently they are well until they arrive at my house and they suddenly take a turn for the worse

Oh well, not going out today anyway. Got some minders coming over here to play (ok well the mindees play!) and am keeping dosed up on lemsip max!!

mumsanutter · 28/11/2008 09:03

No 4 - dh should be home on friday next week, and apparently will then have the rest of december off. I will believe a - that he is coming home when I get the text that he is boarding his flight, and b - that he will have the rest of dec off, in jan when they (ie work) haven't rung him at all!!!
I sound so jaded, but past experience etc
See how you feel later about going out for drinks, you might feel like a change of scene, and you don't have to drink! How was mindee and mum when she dropped her off? I would seriously consider giving notice or at least giving the mother a 'warning' about her behaviour!

Katy, sorry to hear that you didn't make it to the competition, but a nice quiet weekend could be just what you need (I am dead jealous, I can't tell you the last time I had a child free day let alone weekend!)

SB - sorry that you are ill, and isn't it amazing that the children are never ill at home only at the childminders house!!

coolj · 28/11/2008 09:16

Hi everyone, sorry to hear a few of you are suffering. Hope you all get better at the weekend.

No 4 how dare that stupid mother talk to you like a piece of . Who does she thinks she is ffs.

Yesterday I bumped into one of my ex-mindees and his mum (who was also a nightmare and always quibbled about payment). Guess what, she was as nice as anything. Funny how a phone gives you a licence for attitude .

But on a good note, I finish a 2pm today, hoorah.

Have a good one everyone

SammyK · 28/11/2008 09:28

Hi everyone! We slept in today and had to run to get to school on time!

Just having a cuppa waiting for mindee to arrive.

No4 you are too soft I have done this before though so know exactly how you feel. Hope you and SB feel better soon.

Hello all!
Thought I'd pop in to cheer myself up, hope that's ok. Getting fed up of waiting to start minding in Jan. Got the kids lined up and contracts sorted but it's no fun having no income at Christmas time. To top it all off it's DS's school training day and the TV wont work so I'll have to actually go out today!

eleanorsmum · 28/11/2008 11:09

BoysAreLikeDogs · 28/11/2008 17:27

Hi all

Been whizzing around all day, Xmas preparations aaargh

Hope you all feel better soon

KatyMac · 28/11/2008 17:33

I get so confused by people who visit but don't know what days they want, what hours they want or when they want to start. It makes it very difficult

Also something else that confuses me is people who want different days each week not expecting that this will incur extra costs

mumnosbest · 28/11/2008 18:13

Very annoying!
Also annoying when they don't expect to pay anything for the extra 15 mins at the end of EVERY DAY!!!
