I am shocked at what went on last night.

The original poster really does need to get a life. I don't know about everyone else but my time is FAR too precious to waste an entire evening arguing a point which doesn't even affect me in real life.

Plus there are some childminders who do far worse things but we better not go there for fear of having the leave the country!

Anyway I am pleased as I have managed to get another mindee on by books and he is lovely!

coolj · 13/11/2008 13:19

[creeps in looking over shoulder]. Its ok Im finished for the day and all my kids are at nursery/school.

Is it ok if I can come and chat without getting detention

MrsPuddleduck · 13/11/2008 13:29

Just got back from a childminding group and have managed to forget the name of a magazine which I thought was easy to remember

Someone had it from the childminding conference last Friday. It just had christmas arts and crafts sets in it but they were all reasonably priced. I thought it just had two letters eg e s or e n educational or something like that.

Any ideas what it may have been I really wanted to order the make your own finger puppets.....

Anyway, I will have 10 more MN mins, and then off to prepare for school run etc!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 13/11/2008 13:48

Still tittering at last night's thread.

Anyway, no help on the publication you are after, Mrs P.

Been to Music this morning, the baby really getting into it now. Yay. For those lurking and tutting, the children are asleep.

Right off to check the boards for more lunacy.

Have a great day

mumsanutter · 13/11/2008 14:05

ds3 has finally fallen asleep, unfortunately ds4 is 'wide' awake!!! so shouldn't be here but ds4 is munching on a cracker bread in front of me, and I can type and watch him as well (in line of site).

Afraid I can't help with the publication either but Baker ross are very good.

Shoshe · 13/11/2008 15:48

God forgive me but I have sinned.

Schoolies all 4 of them are watching the Disney Channel (Cinderella 2)toddler is dressing baby at my feet, baby asleep beside me.

I am drinking coffee, eating biscuits (actually we all are) and ................MNing.

Will I be struck by lightening?

ZAP!!!!

consider yourself kapowed by lightening!!!

my 4 mindees are running riot in the lounge. i am in the kitchen with a glass of wine.

mumsanutter · 13/11/2008 15:56

No more wine for me - keep getting headaches , I've got to buy some lemonade and then I can have peach schnapps and lemonade and no one will be any wiser!!!

Only 1 mindee here now - 8 years old currently helping my ds search for something that has been lost!!

SammyK · 13/11/2008 18:06

Mindees gone - I am cracking open my emergency bottle of pear cider! Aah that's better.

SammyK · 13/11/2008 18:14

Can I please ask - we cms are all human (as far as I am aware), and therefore all have our off days, so does anyone hav any tips apart from grit your teeth?

I have just had 'one of those days, mindees all super demanding and me all - hmm, trying to think of the right word - stressed/down/tired/irritated.

I am not normally like this, andit never shows in my work, but I felt o guilty today that my heart wasn't in it, even though the kids didn't notice. Sigh.

I think she's just out to stir trouble. Personally I would just ignore the thread, looking at her history of threads!!!!

saz73 · 13/11/2008 21:31

I do mean fivecandles on the other thread!!! She's a teacher and should know better. Stories i know from several private and school teachers would turn your hair blue!!!!
