I'm trying to write 100 words on the main challenges facing social work today.

I have:

The diverse and ever changing society, trying to meet their needs.

Detaching oneself from potentially tragic / upsetting situations in order to be able to provide the best support.

Keeping up to date with current legislation and policy.

Please please please can anyone help?

Not just the diverse society but the fluidity and diversity of the modern family; how our definition of that word has had to change to encapsulate all the modern family set-ups that make up our society.

how about social prejudice against certain vulnerable groups: sex offenders, immigrants, single mothers...

also varying cultural mores among immigrant populations

already treading a fine line in sensitive situations
compounded with cultural differences and expectations

100 words?

Crikey. I thought it said 1,000! Do you not have enough already?

slayerette · 09/11/2008 15:37

Yes, I thought it must be a typo! 100 words is nothing!
