tulip31 · 07/11/2008 07:39

Morning, I need the cupboard all the time, but thats just because of my children - god I hate mornings (all the fighting to get them up and moving, and then the mum wheres my....., he hit me, he's picking on me!!! urgh!!!!!!) only 4 weeks until dh gets home, and then I'm locking myself in the bedroom and he can cope!!

Coffee on, bacon and fried egg butties, cereal and green tes - drink it quickly its good for you

Shoshe · 07/11/2008 07:58

NumberFour · 07/11/2008 08:08

Shoshe - I seem to think you were from South Africa (like me) - or am I getting you confused with someone else?

Hope you survive today, SammyK.
Hi, Tulip.

Morning all

I am getting ready for a table-top sale tomorrow

I think I have taken on more than I can cope with

BoysAreLikeDawgs · 07/11/2008 09:29

Hiya

haircut this morning then banking/paperwork

mumlove · 07/11/2008 09:49

Morning everyone.

Hope you all have a fantastic Friday.

I have dropped DD off at school, done the banking and now going for a nice long hot soak in the bath to help clear away the last bit of my cold.

looneytune · 07/11/2008 09:58

Morning all. Had a better night with my baby, only woke at 12ish then 6.10 which was better than he has been. Just a shame dh woke me at 3am and mindee woke up at 4.15am! I'm soooo glad it's Friday!!!

My brother has offered to take ds1 away for the weekend as I need a major catch up as pretty sure Ofsted coming very soon. Just hope baby is settled, he usually is but he prefers lots of kids around so I'm not sure how he'll be.

Anyway, have a good day everyone. We're off for a country walk as the sun is shining. Just hope my back doesn't get too bad from the sling - JJ is a lot heavier these days!!!

Good luck SammyK!!

tulip31 · 07/11/2008 10:38

Hello Shoshe, dh is in Hong Kong, but not forces. He is a global telecomunnication specialist for BT, I suppose the job title should give it away (Global ). Have already been told that he is in New York in Jan, Chicago in feb and Tokyo in march, he had better be home for us to go to South Africa in April!

No 4 - silly question but can you recommend any safrai type things near cape town???

Morning everyone else.

NumberFour · 07/11/2008 10:50

Tulip, your best bet for safaris are more north in the Northern Province (aptly named....) or the famous Kruger National Park (Not sure what province it is in).

The Cape Peninsula does not have any wild life as such - certainly none of the Big Five.

In Cape Town I would recommend going up Table Mountain, seeing the winelands, the V & A Water front, Kirstenbosch Gardens, and maybe some tours through the townships - I have never been on one, but have been into some areas over the years. Will add more if I think of anything else!

KatyMac · 07/11/2008 10:53

Do I sell 500 megablocks as a job lot or split them up?

SammyK · 07/11/2008 10:53

glad you had a better night last night LT. It's horrible having broken sleep.

if PC comes in, I am sorry I didn't reply to your message yesterday, I meant to and then forgot! My head is all over the place. Thanks for your kindness and support, your a star,

NumberFour · 07/11/2008 10:55

KM: split them. If someone wants that many then they can buy the lot. If not, then there are smaller bundles to buy. It will be easier to sell in smaller lots.

KatyMac · 07/11/2008 10:57

What £2 a 100 blocks of mixed sizes

NumberFour · 07/11/2008 12:40

sounds okay, KM, and if someone is interested in the lot, maybe agree "discounted" price. but then again, no point in making more work for yourself!

KatyMac · 07/11/2008 14:53

I can't fit it all in the car

SillyMillysMummy · 07/11/2008 14:55

guys I have a question for you. my LA fund ncma membership, they told me they had sent off the quality start pack on monday and that my pli should be in place within a couple days. They then rang Wed and said they had sent it off , I have just rang ncma and they say its not on their system yet I have a mindee supposed to be starting Monday, what do i do?

SammyK · 07/11/2008 15:21

Still no Ofsted! Sigh!

I will now feel obliged to do more SEF over the weekend.

Just want the waiting to be over with.

KatyMac · 07/11/2008 17:35

It's all in the car

I have a float

Don't know where I am going yet or when but I hope I will by the time I go to bed

looneytune · 07/11/2008 19:49

Cheers Sammy, just a shame JJ did well but the others woke me grrr. Anyway, fingers crossed dh will keep his hands to himself tonight and baby will sleep like last night.

Right, I need ideas please. My db is coming late tomorrow morning to take ds1 off our hands until roughly Sunday night. He's decided to take him away but we're both stumped for idea's. I'm going to start a thread in another section but thought I may be able to get some idea's here? Obviously it involves an overnight stay so would be good to find a place which is good for the whole weekend. He's coming from Gosport and I'm in Berkshire but he's happy to travel, just not keen on having ds1 in the car for TOO long otherwise the time will be wasted.
