Hello! Won't brew the caffeine as it will go cold before eve shoshe is up.

Well I finished my NVQ (sponsored by Pepsi Max), and got all my paperwork up to date.

DP helped me clean the house up a bit before setting off for his night shift bless him, and I am now gonna sit with a cuppa and go through my daily diaries for my morning kids, and put notes of what areas of the EYFS are covered so I can show I kind of know what I am doing.

See you in morning if I can open my eyes

Sammy - congrats on getting your NVQ finished, and the rest of your paperwork.

Thank you for your help with my policies, I have (hopefully) finally updated my portfolio and have put togther a prospectus to give to all of my mindee's parents by th eend of this week!

Shoshe · 06/11/2008 07:42

Sammy didnt see you had opened up last night

No wasnt up at 1.22 ( and what on earth were you doing up that late young lady!!!)

But was up at 5.00, but that is usual

SammyK · 06/11/2008 09:21

I finally fell into bed at gone 2!

Just having a cuppa and some cereal, and waiting for mindee (and hopefully Ofsted) to arrive.

I'm sure there will be little bits and bobs left of my NVQ but yes I am so relieved to have everything sorted.

Have a good day everyone!

Ive got a day off today so just got to do about 3mtrs high worth of ironing, well once i'm showered and dressed. (and got off this addictive site ).

Have a good day everyone. (sneaks off to get something constructive done).

when i was on my EYFS course this week i was talking to one of the cm's who was considering giving up 'due to the extra paperwork' she was an older cm who had been doing it for many years and when i explained i 'dont get' allt his about extra paperwork and feel like im missing something, she said Diaries/risk assesments..is this it?, dont mean to belittle it, im sure it IS a lot more work for cm's who started a long time ago, but i already do diaries so AFAICS its just the risk assesments and more obs i need to do?..is this right???

NumberFour · 06/11/2008 11:05

I find that updating my polices in line with EYFS will take some time.

Linking the observations with the components of EYFS is something I must still do but cannot find the time yet (trying to get into my CM folder on pc to do Notice Letter and keep on popping into MN all the times - grrr. must get back to work!)

Filling in risk assessments - must still do
Records of fire drills - have a template and that is working
Evaluations of outings or activities - have template and that seems to be working
Attendance registers - always behind with this
Account keeping - always behind with this!

Etc. Yes some of it is something that we have been doing before but we are expected to record more, imo.

Back to that notice letter.

Shoshe · 06/11/2008 12:21

I'm not waiting anymore she's been

SammyK · 06/11/2008 12:30

well done shoshe, have posted on your thread

still waiting here {taps fingers impatiently}

I am finding more paperwork with the EYFS asven though I do daily diairies, plan etc, the EYFS requires more detail and a good knowledge of the pack, which will take time to get to grips with.

I am always behind with my register and ccounts too
