Question for Mums who use Childminders

Hi! Was wondering what your childminder does about holidays, how many weeks they take and what payment they ask for it. Also what do they do about bank holidays, and your holidays.

I'd like to ask mums, as they obviously are happy with the arrangements and think it's fair!

Thanks in advance

Mine is quite easy about holidays, she doesn't ask for payment for her holidays and she doesn't charge me for mine if I give her a month's notice.

Neither does she charge me sick pay if she or her children are too ill for my ds to go round.

As a childminder it's nice to read all of these flattering comments written about other childminders!

Glad we're appreciated!

my cm is fab - my ds loves her - his first word was actually her middle daughters name!

se doesn't charge me if she has a days off for hols or sick - if it's out choice it's half rate. She does charge half rate for the 2.5 hours he's in nursery for - when he's in school for a full day I'll only be charged for the time he's there. I only work 3 days per week and she's really flexible if i want to swap one now and then

She's telling me to have another baby so she can mind him/her too! She never puts my ds down - even when he has been a little devil. The only problem i have is that whenever i ring her or she rings me we end up chatting for ages and forget what we actually rang for !
