Do you buy your CM children birthday & christmas presents?

My CM last year bought my children presents worth about £10 each. Her husband does get a discount from his work.
However, she has an extended family situation where her grown up daughter and 2 children also live with her.

I feel obliged at their birthdays to chip in a small something but now with the credit crunch I feel that suddenly buying b.day & christmas for my CM, her son , and then her g.children a bit much financially.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

My CM is great. She has said about 100 times that she does not want a present, and that she gets her "children" selection boxes only. She said please don't get me anything as it is embarrassing- as she can't reciprocate.
I appreciated her honesty (and will get her and her family a nice box of chocs and leave it at that.
Why not ask her what she wants to do?
I would happily get my wonderful CM a very expensive present because she is brilliant with dd and her pay doesn't reflect this, I think. Why not agree not to buy this year or a budget perhaps?

I am a CM and buy my mindees presents at birthday's and christmas.

However, I really don't expect the parents to buy anything for my kids. Maybe a little bottle of wine for me though

I am a cm and buy my kiddies a pressie at Christmas, and we do loads of Christmas activities, cards etc. - on their birthdays they receive cards, crowns, cake, posters etc. that the other mindees and I have made.

I have received little gifts at Christmas and got flowers from a parent on my bday, which is lovely, but definately not expected!

If I know it's one of my mindee's siblings/parents bday we make cards, poster etc. for them.
