Cakes, lovely thanks.

Long day today, but then have 2 weeks off (well fulltime mindee, i'll still have the after schollies). Got my new rain coat yesterday, why do I think that its going to get alot of use today??

TCO, I hope that your 'baby' is still as good as gold today

NumberFour · 02/10/2008 07:48

Hi!

Yes, I hope your new baby is okay today, TCO. I had a really long day yesterday then my son woke up at 3.45 and 4.45. My alarm goes off at 5.45. Hardly seemed worth the while going back to sleep.

Is the coffee in the pot fresh????

KatyMac · 02/10/2008 08:16

Morning everyone.

No work again for me today! Still not heard from the familys that visited me 2 weeks ago, so will have to hope the phone starts to ring soon.

DD is on a walking school trip today and the sky is so grey, I think they will get wet.

Hope you all have a fun time doing your activities.

changingsoon · 02/10/2008 09:35

SammyK · 02/10/2008 12:09

Hello everyone

I am down in the dump today, ds poorly, started being sick yest afternoon, and woke e up this morning by being sick on my forehead and hair. BLEURGH!! SOB SOB SOB!!!!

Needless to say i took yest aft and today off, have packaged up parent's refunds (more phoney sobbing), and have tidied up the house as I am stuck in. Sigh!

I got a nice raincoat last winter from primark, don't know what they are like this year though.

HAve a good day everyone.

tulip31 · 02/10/2008 13:02

EM, My friend has her own embroidery buisness and I brought the coat through her (unembroidered), I am sure that she could help you if you would like. Just let me know.

Feeling all urgh myself. Just had a phone from dh asking me to pack his bag he's flying to hong kong on wednesday for buisness - a week earlier than expected! Why is it that he's going away and I'm supposed to pack his bag???

SammyK · 02/10/2008 13:05

Tulip31: If he is like my DP he will say it is 'because you are so much better at it / do it so well'. Which is true, so it's my own fault for being an impatient perfectionist.

eleanorsmum · 02/10/2008 13:06

ooh tulip sounds good could you email details maybe to keri dot bradley at tiscali dot co dot uk
embroidered might be fun too - thinking advertising!

thanks for the other suggestions folks. am off into reading on saturday so will scour millets and primark (think i'll like the primark prices better!)

I had a letter today that Ofsted had tried to visit me on Monday (not due till December).

Thought it was abit odd as had had no phonecall, and they cant get onto camp unless I sign them in (we are behind the wire herer)

Anyway I phoned them and it seems that they didnt visit, but tried to phone, as somebody had reported me for being over my numbers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was all sorted over the phone, but !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so shocked!

Well my morning changed 5 mins after my last post.
School were 1 helper down for the trip and could I meet them there to help and walk back to school again, but we had a great time and got back to school 1/2 later than should have so all very hungry. I then had to walk 20 mins back home, so would love a large hot coffee will leave again for school in 1hr 15 mins.

mumlove · 02/10/2008 13:59

Confused

NumberFour · 02/10/2008 17:37

My 4 year old started diarrhoea (sp???) about 2 hours ago so I have cancelled all my kids for tomorrow and managed to send all but one home early. Then the poor baby landed up skidding down the stairs head first, crashing into the stair gate!

Forget the coffee! Anyone put any wine in the fridge?

Oh, and I have obviously had to cancel tomorrow too. Mixed blessing because it amounts to a costly lie in....

nannynick · 02/10/2008 18:25

Warning: Toy Dinosaurs can hurt a lot! Think 3 year old I care for was quite surprised at the amount of blood which came from head, following his dinosaur being a little rough when it found me during a game of hide-and-seek.
Typically happens right at the end of the day, just before mum got home - up till then the day had gone well

Time for a coffee and a shower (to get blood out of my hair).

Time to Dinosaur Attack to the occupational hazards list. Suppose dinosaurs now need a risk assessment!

nannynick · 02/10/2008 18:27

Opps, missed a MY and an ADD.

TheConfusedOne · 02/10/2008 18:28

Nick we have some huge ones that we bought at Dorchester Dinosaur Museum, they bloody hurt when you drop them on your toe too, they are heavy!!

(can I borrow your risk assessment )
