We have someone who is volunteering for us, as she used to be a nanny 18 years ago, and wants to return to nannying. We are hoping to be able to employ her and I was wondering what the going rate would be- we are in Gloucestershire if that makes a difference. She will be doing a child care certificate while she is working for us.
Thanks for your help.

I would expect starting salary to be £6-8 gross per hour.

As she has been out of nannying for 18yrs she will need to update her skills and knowledge as things change so she will be obv training whilst with you from what you say.

so def would be looking at max of £6 net an hr.
