I gave my ap some details of sites I saw on an ap thread here a few weeks ago (I don't know which threads they were but perhaps you could search and find them?) She didn't find anyone using those sites (actually, I think nannyjob and Facebook were two) but then went on the German version of FB and found someone who is in Uni locally. She has since met up with that girl and they plan to go out together soon. It's great as she can introduce my ap to other youngsters the same age and maybe nationality. She has also met up with a work colleague's ap a couple of times which was good.

Springer - have posted on the other thread where you left a similar message. I am the other isde of Cambridge from you but my AP has linked with a group of APs in and around Cambridge through facebook. If you CAT me I can pass on your AP details to my AP.

Has she not met anyone at college?

Also if she's desparate to meet someone why is she reluctant to contact the ones you've suggested? Is she nervous, perhaps she would appreciate one on one introduction - maybe an afternoon out with the other family so as the situation is less forced?

i iwhs it were that simple - the whole meeting with other family - we have someone who lives in the same village as us - she just seems happy to be sitting in the living room or in her bedroom doing nothing - i appreciate that she might like to be like this but we have had about 7 au pairs all of whom have been outgoing, meeting people, having sleep overs etc. and am concerned that she is going to be lonely and go home because of it.
