I have made a monumental cock up and am now facing starting a temp part time contract in two weeks with no childcare.

I have two children- one is at school full time and the othr will be starting nursery at the school in the mornings.

I need a lovely lovel nanny to come and help me.
He or she would drop kids off and collect at lunchtime and end of school time and then entertain them park in front of TV till either Dh or I get home- about 6.30.

We are in North London and the school is about 2mins walk away.
I'd hope that the nanny would do kids' washing and a bit of tidying when the smaller child is at nursery.

Please help- I am feeling a bit sick becuase it seems my other chilcare option has fallen through

Hi, I have a fab nanny friend who was made redundant yesterday, she had been with the same family for 9 years, i think she is looking for temp work, where abouts in North London are you? Do you have an e-mail address i can pass on to her? Many thanks x

messedupagain · 04/09/2008 21:26

Ilovethecake, my email is mumenstoops at gmail.com

I don't want to say where as it is a sensitive subject!

I know that sounds mad but I don't really want to talk about it over the internet

I am lovely, though.

Have you tried Gumtree??

ilovemydog · 05/09/2008 08:41

The Grove in Islington? The aren't a chain, so are more flexible as far as not committing to a thousand years before starting.

ilovemydog · 05/09/2008 08:42

Oops - sorry, you needed a nanny....

messedupagain · 05/09/2008 22:09

Bumpity bump

OP posts:
phraedd · 05/09/2008 22:54

have you tried nannyjob or netmums?

messedupagain · 05/09/2008 23:51

i've looked at all opf the gumtree stuff and nnnyjob and it is the volume of people you have to sift through that is daunting i must admit.

So i thought i'd see if there was anybody out here in mumsnetland first
