Do you ever feel pressured into taking a child because the parent is desperate?

I have done it again, hours I don't want to work because someone is stumped/in trouble

I wish I had more will power - but I always give in

BM - I agree but I'm in an odd position for a childminder I have employees & they need paying, atm we are so short of children they have all had to reduce their hours, so anything I can do to get money in an fulfill my responsibility to them is a good thing - and it has to easier that babysitting working 6-8 every night at home rather than 4/5/6 hours somewhere else (at least I can do paperwork)

The main issue is DD sharing me tbh - but if I can get the girls to do an occasional night we could be away

I am the same. I am a mug and I am currently nannying (temp) for £5 an hour in greater london! The rate is at least £8, but I would be happy with £6 which is what I usually charge as I take my DD along with me. But she said she couldnt afford that and would pay £5 and for some reason I agreed. And this is for 2 children!
