How do you find out who is using your reg number to claim childcare benefit?

Hi I am very sure that there are a couple of people in my area that may be using my childminder registration number to claim the childcare element of the tax credits. One is a past client who only came to me for a couple of weeks and one is a lady that came round got all my details and then rang the day before starting to say she had decided not to return to work.
Thing is I go on maternity leave soon and will be claiming MA so therefore don't want them to claim the childcare money while I am off as I don't want to be accused of working while getting MA. I don't know if this could happen but if it could I don't want to risk it.
Is there a number you can call to give a list of clients you currently have on your books so that the gov can check who is claiming against your name? Or is there a number you can call to find out yourself who is using your reg number to claim? I have now been a childminder for over 2 years and not once have I ever had a letter from gov asking to confirm clients etc, are we supposed to get such things or do they rely on the honesty of parents? Surely if this is the case anyone could get a registration number off of the OFSTED website and there could be hundreds of people claiming fraudulently.
Sorry if it sounds like I am rambling but am worried 32 weeks pregnant and my mind has turned to mush!

I have had one letter in 3 years checking on how muh a parent as paid in a certain tax year, I think they just do it randomly.

Not sure about how you would find out, could try ringin TC helpline bu IME they are useless!!

Have a cuppa and relax!

I phoned to tell them tha i knew for certain that a ex client was still using my number a year after they left, (she actually told me!!!) they werent in the slightest bit intrested.

Roll on 4 years and I get a phone call from a Liverpool deptment (we are in Dorset), the family had moved there just after I had spoken to her, SHE WAS STILL USING MY NUMBER!!!! and they had just realised that my number was registered in Dorset, blardy long way to drop your child in childcare!.

I think it was only picked up because the child had gone to school, so her childcare use had changed. (on paper in actaul fact she hadnt worked at all)

I cant understand why we cant acssess a database (with maybe a pin number or something) to check who is using our number, we could then tell Tax Credits immediatly who we have on our books or not!

As OO says, wouldn't be surprised how many people are scamming this system given how easy it would be!
