I currently have a variation which goes,

Mindee 1 FT, age 1y (now left)
Mindee 2 PT, age 1y
Mindee 3 FT, age 7m

Mindee 3's mum has given notice, which I am in now, and have jus met a mum looking for PT for her 3yr old, mindee3's mum is going for a PT time job interview today and has said if she gets job wants me to mind mindee3.

When mum3 gave notice I explained if I could fill the place would as I cannot afford to lose income.

So I need to tell Ofsted mindee1 has left,

and I need to apply for variation as new mindee wants to start wednesday and mindee3 doesn't leave for a fortnight if at all!

Help!

How shall I request variation??

I know someone on here applied simply for business reasons (was it dmo?), am all confused and muddled!!

I've just received another variation. It's for 4 weeks for a new mindee starting before my own dd goes to school.

With all my variations, they have all been for new business and all of them have been granted.

I just told them why I needed it, how long for, how I would cope with all mindees and about how the space I have is sufficient to cover all childrens needs etc.

Ofsted have always been really efficient with me. I applied for variation last Monday and was phoned on Friday to say it was granted.

email them, it's much quicker (as long as you've got your signiture scanned)

Thanks SB that sounds promising, think I have my scanned signature will have a look.

What should I say about mindee who is currently in notice period who may be staying but less hours??

Not sure! You could state current hours but say they might be changing to less. Therefore hopefully you will be covered to current hours and if they become less then you don't have to worry! It's a bit confusing for you atm isn't it!

Yes don't know if I'm coming or going!!

Thanks for our advice, I'm gonna email them tonight
