morning mumlove. wet here too where has the summer gone? light day for me today, just one lo. dd is at lunch club at pre-school today so i get 3.5 hours free from her! she has cold this morn but not bad, think she's missing the sun too.

am trying to double check everything ready for my inspection next week. have a few bits i've re-read and thought that doesn't sound right!

have a good day all!

Morning, wet and windy here too. Come in for a whinge, increased prices last week first time in 4 years and one parent has now told me she's reducing days to reduce her costs :-(

Both mindee's are tried this morning and parents adviced early sleep, both been up since 4am!!

Morning all.
I'm between jobs today. Last nanny job finished on Friday, and I start new nanny job tomorrow. So I'm attempting to wash carseats, re-configure carseats (as different aged children in the new job), clear out the car, re-configure buggy (putting into young baby mode), all those kinds of lovely jobs.

Hope the day improves... I need a gap in the rain to configure the buggy, as no room in my small flat to do that.

mumlove · 07/07/2008 09:13

Sports today has been cancelled until next week.
Saz - will you be able to take on another child on the day that the mindee is dropping?
Nick - I hope your new job goes well.

Hi jsut wanna get small bit of help with fee's. One mindee comes at 7.30am but parent stays for 15 mins, what time would you charge from, 7.30 or 7.45????

vInTaGeVioLeT · 07/07/2008 11:10

charge from when they come as you are working from then unless {as happens with me} they are booked in earlier - mine are booked from 8am but often dont come till 8.45

KaySamuels · 07/07/2008 13:48

Afternoon all!

We had a fun weekend camping DS was in his element!

If anyone gets 2 mins....help needed please

saz73, I would charge from arrival time as you are clocked on and focused on them. Sorry about parent reducing hours, that sucks! My rates are going up very slightly in September, no complaints as of yet!

Saz73 · 07/07/2008 14:22

Have done invoice from arrival time, parent won't be happy. (same one that's reduced hours due to fee's, wouldn't mind but what she earns in one month would take me 1 year!!)
Thanks Guys.

It's finally sunny here, not sure for how long might make a quick dash to the park for a little while.

southernbelle77 · 07/07/2008 16:10

I haven't put my fees up yet as always worry about parents reaction! But now I'm full (over full with variation!!) I think I might do it with my first 2 mindees as they are on cheaper then everyone else anyway and have been with me for a while!

Hope the invoice goes down ok Saz.

I've got a super busy week this week. Acutally, come August when new baby starts I'll be even busier so I guess I should start preparing myself for it!!

Done lots of bits and bobs today. Having a few issues with one mindee and rudeness but think they might slowly be reasling that it's not on!

Looking forward to going out for a run tonight to vent some frustration!!
