Good morning to you all, July is finally here and it started off really good yesterday with lovely sunny weather, but today has turned all dull and grey .

3 weeks today and DD and mindees are into the summer hols until 3rd Sept. I will be having the 1st 2 full weeks off myself to have a break, also DH will be home (that will be hard work!), but the only doing a 3 day week for the rest of summer .

i think i am getting depressed, life has been hard lately and this is just about tipping me over. today i feel like saying i'm sick but can't afford to and would never let paretns down unless dire. just need a hug really. we were going to teddy bears picnic today but it looks like rain and with no car we'd get so soaked out in a field trying to get home (havn'e got a rain coat yet!)

Oh dear EM. What a horrible situation to be in. I take it from your thread this is normal behaviour for him. Does he get lots of stimulation at home or is he perhaps left to play mostly by himself, ifkwim. Maybe he is attention seeking. Worth keeping an eye on in case it turns out to be something medical. Think you really need to sit down with parents for a long chat and work out what the next steps are really. Keep your chin up

Well the rain started this morning but eased off for the preschool pick up, will have to wait and see what it's like to do the school run later. Off to make a coffee while mindee asleep.

Oh em I answered your other thread sorry you're having a bad time, just running in and out while I have my cuppa, have a good afternoon everyone.

Its dull and dismal here today. And I'm certainly feeling that way too!

DD and mindees all been a handful today! Think they are all getting withdrawal from not being able to go outside so much even though we have done things indoors!

I took on a new mindee last night for after school from September. They came and signed the contract there and then and gave me a deposit so that was good! Still waiting to hear from OFSTED about my variation for new 4 day a week mindee but gave them a chase up call today so hopefully will hear back soon!

thanks guys for all your supportiveness. have spoken to paretns in past adnwe seem to be on the same wave length. discussed naps too and am going to enforce two a day as he seems better with it. his paretns are very easy going (bit too much really!) and are fine with me doing what i'm doing. also i'm not used to boys and need to do soem research on behaviour and development. any suggestions? and i'm going to toy rotate, think they are getting bored with whats available although quite a slecection they have access to them all most of the time. have been given a big load of toys of freecycle, going to collect tongiht so lets hope the kids like them!

hope no-one got too wet today, we did! coming home, kids all in coats and rain covers, me just a tshirt! silly me! we made tiny teddy bisc this morn instead of going to picnic. tom morn we'll ice them all!

Glad you've spoken to the parents EM. I hope it works. The toy rotation is certainly a good idea. I started doing that when we moved house and it keeps what you have going longer as they forget about things when they are not there so when you get them out again it's exciting again!

We were pretty lucky with not getting wet here! It's looking really nice outside now even though the weather forecast says it's meant to be heavy rain! Sun shining and its lovely! I hope the forecast is wrong as it says rain for the next 5 days!
