Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I don't have a policy on it at all. I have one line on my impossibly-long list of things I want permission for that says, "I give my permission for ThePrisoner to apply suncream as appropriate".

My inspector read my impossibly-long permission list during my inspection earlier this year, and was fine with this. I suspect that another inspector would disagree. I also suspect that children are supposed to have their own suncream but, hey ho, mine all use my stuff and are still breathing.

when i was childminding i had one, it was on part of our childminding network lists of things we should have

berkschick · 01/07/2008 21:32

I was told you need to have a permission form signed for sunscreen and the children should all provide their own. Something to do with nut allergy I think. I also have a policy on it.

MaureenMLove · 01/07/2008 21:41

I was the same as TP. It was on my list of things to be allowed to do. And yes, we had a communal bottle of suncream, unless parent was partcularly bothered.

KaySamuels · 01/07/2008 21:42

I don't have a policy but I use an NCMA permission slip.

TP I heart you!

narkymum · 01/07/2008 22:02

Thanks will add one. Did not know NCMA did them.

the prisoner i had one bottle which i supplied for all children, it saved me having to carry 6 bottles when out and about, and the worry if someones was forgotten. i never had any parents complain, they all liked that i did this as it meant it was one less thing for them to worry about in the mornings. never had ofsted or network coordinator complain i had signatures from all parents to cover it and i specified which make i use on te permission form and always bought that one
