I’ve messed up the childcare reconfirmation!

I went to reconfirm my free childcare this month because it said I was late which I wasn’t, it actually had application pending so I went through it again. I’m now on mat leave so I updated it to state this, but it’s said that my son is ineligible because I’m on parental leave for the child I’m applying for?!
But obviously I’m not on mat leave for him, I’m on mat leave for the baby I just had!
To top this off I can’t log in anymore! It’s like the account has just disappeared! It still has money in the tax free childcare account so how has it been deleted so quickly!

Can anyone help? I’m spiralling because I cannot afford to pay full price for nursery on mat pay but I can’t take him out, his whole world has changed and nursery is his safe place! This is such a stupid system!

When you’re on mat leave you don’t change the details as you’re still employed in the job you were doing (if you are still employed there!).

Do you have the email reminding you to reconfirm with the date? If that’s after today then you haven’t missed it.

From a quick Google its HMRC to contact for any issues so I’d just call their advice line. It will probably be fine.

You'll need to call HMRC and you'll be on hold for an hour and yes it is an infuriating system, but they will be able to sort it. Don't panic!
