And a graet big sunny morning to you.

( Thinks very hard as to why Shoshe is so happy)

Have you lost lots of weight, going to be a nanny again, moving into your new house? Am I anywhere near on any of them?

mumlove · 30/06/2008 07:39

Oh no Katy, and KS losing mindees is horrible isn't it. I hope you manage to replace them soon.

I've had another busy day! Every day seems busy at the moment!

Had another parent come today and wants to use me but have to get (another) variation from Ofsted to be able to do it. It's only for 4 weeks until dd starts school full time so I'm hoping they will agree but a bit worried now as reaslised it's school holidays so will have 4 under 5's all day for 4 days a week. I hope that won't put ofsted off. Have someone else coming to see me tomorrow night about after schoolie from September too.

Took dd to dietican today. She has to be tested for coaliacs disease . In itself that's ok, but it means putting her back on wheat for about 3 months while all the tests are done and that will just play havoc with her poor bowels Oh well, if it gets to the bottom of it in the end I suppose it will be worth it.

Shoshe · 30/06/2008 18:05

I dfidnt read the thread before last post, I'm so sorry you are bth losing mindees, feel a real idiot, saying I had filled spaces

CAn i ask you lot to have a look here am thinking about dithcing my useless car! have worked out what it's cost so far this year and it needs new exhaust now! CARS! ARG!

but what would think my main issues would be for minding without one? I can walk to lesiure centre with pool and lots of soft play things. have two toddler groups i can walk to. we're considering car sharing for dh so i could have potential use of car 1/2 days a week.

KatyMac · 30/06/2008 18:36

S'OK Shoshe we understand

The job is cyclical, you have had bad times too

Just because we have none doesn't stop us feeling pleased for you

Shoshe · 30/06/2008 18:38

Thank You Katy I felt awful for you.

I asked C (age 3) what he wanted to do today. He quickly responded with 'swimming' - so we went, alas so did 2 school groups, so the pool was quite a bit more busy than usual.
Only 4 more days to go in my current job. Strange to think having been there for 3 years, but when it's time to move on, it's time to move on.

Sorry to hear about people losing mindees... suppose with school holidays approaching, children starting school, others going up to senior school, etc... that childcare requirements do get rethought. Hope you are all able to fill your places soon.

Do you think it is just the time of year, or are other factors affecting things at the moment - such as money?

KaySamuels · 30/06/2008 19:51

I am hoping the time of year will be an advantage nick, summer hol care and new schoolies maybe. {hopeful}

My mindees are leaving one family circs (small claims court on my side soon) , oter mindees mum missing mindee too much so changed to evening work.

Shoshe glad you are filling your spaces, like KM says these things go in cycles.

SB sorry for your dd, like u say a diagnosis will help in the long run tho.
