Please, does anyone know of an enthusiastic student who would like to Mothers Help/Nanny for me over the summer? Nottingham.

Just 2 or 3 days a week, helping out with my 8 y.o. son. Live out only I'm afraid.

I just need to keep my business ticking over, can't stop working for the summer.

Said person could start next week doing after school if poss (existing person let me down badly this week, she's gone), or start from 21st July.

Anyone?

Have you tried searching the cvs on nanny job or posting on gumtree?

clumsymum · 24/06/2008 12:58

Could you leave a note at the local college?

clumsymum · 24/06/2008 13:08

Well local 6th form college isn't quite what I had in mind, they are a bit young.

I did ring the Education faculty of the University 3 weeks ago to ask if they could help, tell me the best place to post a notice or something, but they offered no help/advice at all. Couldn't be less interested in fact.

Maybe I should find the student's union (just this second thought of that)? Have the universities already packed up for summer?

I'm free this summer, Student paeds nurse, full CRB. I have a 9 year old ds. He can hang out with me and ds. I don't drive but can catch the red arrow (live in Derby). ds starts a new school at the end of August though.

clumsymum · 24/06/2008 13:18

avenanap - interesting, VERY interesting.

Can you email me on eas_1511 at hotmail dot com with a bit more info about you, and what type of things your ds likes to do.
What if the ds's didn't get on?

We're in Hucknall BTW, north of Nottingham. Would that make it difficult to get to us?

I'm writing it now. What else would you like to know?

clumsymum · 24/06/2008 13:40

oh blimey !!

What did you do before nursing, how would you entertain 2 busy boys over summer, what sort of things do you make for lunch or tea.

Oh, you do like dogs, don't you? We have 2 cavvy spaniels (adorable both).

And a contact no. please so I can give you a call.

Anything you would want to know if you were handing your ds over to someone else.
I shall need a reference or 2 at somepoint too if we do this.
