Im a childminder with a 7 seater zafira and have outgrown it. Can you tell me the good points of your 8 seater. Anyone have a Bongo - are they too heavy on the fuel.

The only 8/9 seater I have driven is the VW Transporter, which is more van like, but in the diesel version is quite economical for a large vehicle. We thought about buying one once then decided against it as dh thought it was too utilitarian for a family car! I have hired one though during school holidays for a couple of days when I had extra kids & needed to go out. We fitted loads of kit in it & the kids really enjoyed the ride.

I have an 8 seater peugeot 807. I think it is a crap car - loads of little faults that cost an arm and a leg to repair (current 'airbag fault' light that keeps coming on, needs to have entire roof space dismantled to fix!)

Am selling it if you are in France and are interested!

I have a Toyota Previa 8 seats, and can't say I have any real problems with. My boys managed to break the wire! that operates the car door handle, so had to deal with that issue, but otherwise nothing to mention at the mo. Only draw back with the car is that the whole middle seat has to be moved to get into the back, so can't realisticly put any car seats in the require the seat belt to be fastened all the time.

Also have a toyota previa - had a few teething probs with tyres and engines but otherwise its ok. Does feel a little light sometimes on the motorway if its windy.
