Question about sleeping arrangements (for mindees!!)

Hi, I am in the process of registering and reading through all the paperwork etc.

If you look after a 2 year old (for example) who still has a nap in the afternoon where would you put them to go to sleep?

This is starting to worry me. If I have a child who can go in a travelcot I was planning to put them in DS1's bedroom (as he will be at school). Where would you put a child who was sleeping in a bed?

DS1 has a cabin bed so it would be a bit dangerous to leave a child in there unattended in case they felt like exploring.

I mind 3 toddlers and a baby all at once and if they all need a nap at the same time, one goes on the sofa (his own bedding under and over him), one goes in a pram and two go in travel cots in different rooms.

I'm not registered for upstairs so can't put them to sleep in bedrooms but would have them up there in travel cots if I was.

a lot will also depend on where the mindees parents want them to sleep - some don't like them to sleep in pushchairs while others prefer it so they don't sleep for too long.

I have a travel cot in my room and a sleeping mat downsrair for the lo 3 who sometimes needs a sleep

The thing is , you need to have separate stuff for all the kids, so would u want to strip the bed anyway iyswim xx

So could I put a ready bed or sleeping mat on the floor in my bedroom for an older child?

What age have you put children in travel cots if you don't mind me asking. I think my DS1 went in one when he was 2 possibly (I can't remember) and Ds2 flatly refuses to sleep in them!

I don't mind having a separate set of bedding to wash each week.

I have children with me from young sleep in a travel cot even as late as 3 or 4

Same with me - all mine over the last seven years from babies up until toddlers to three have gone in travel cots.

I have had some 3 or 4 years olds on the settee if they are too tired to move and have fallen asleep there.

I wouldn't worry about it!
