Best way to find some babysitting work

I'm in London, have an enhanced dbs through some volunteering I do, and my own dcs are young adults. I have time on my hands and would like to find some babysitting work, what's the best way to go about this would you say?

Both the babysitters we used when our dc were young, and the families that needed babysitting when my dc were babysitting for others, were all people known to us through other things we did.

eg - people from Church, colleagues, Young Leader at Cubs, a young person that helped with a sport my dc did, etc.

So, where do you know people from ? Chat to people ? Let people know you are thinking of doing some babysitting to earn a bit on the side, and you'll likely find people who feel more comfortable using a Mum rather than a teenager by word of mouth.

Then, once you have your first couple of families, they will talk to other young families and recommend you.
