HI Kay, what did she teext?, ahs she give you what she owes yet?

BoysAreLikeDogs · 11/06/2008 17:53

Urgh.

Got a problem and feel bad about it.

crace · 11/06/2008 18:23

What's up Boys?

MaureenMLove · 11/06/2008 18:25

Have you seen the state of Ju's feet!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 11/06/2008 18:31

Hahaha Mo

Here's the thing

Mindee, afterschoolie, age 7, not reliable with toileting; poo in his pants today.

Sorted him out, bleurgh.

Want to give notice because it's revolting BUT he is from a family that don't really do much with him, he gets a lot out of coming to me.

Why do I not object to dealing with the tinies and their poo but am so offended by him ?

I feel so bad

MaureenMLove · 11/06/2008 18:36

Tricky one, but if its not working for you, then you know you have to give notice. Remember is your business and if its affecting your usual work, then it has to be that way.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 11/06/2008 18:38

Thanks Mo, you are right.

crace · 11/06/2008 18:41

You feel bad because you are a caring person. I would be the same, but you know Mo is right.

I feel bad today today, gave George a bottle last night as so unsettled and he's decided he much prefers bottles thank you very much and won't nurse again. I am now expressing for him, but ... bugger

MaureenMLove · 11/06/2008 18:45

Don't feel bad Crace, you're still giving him your milk, aren't you? Look on the bright side of things, you won't have to get up in the night!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 11/06/2008 18:47

Ach crace you have done so well, expressing is not the end of the world love.

I fed DS2 from one boob and expressed from the other because
a - had horrid cracked nipple and
b - he preferred the one boob anyway, fussed and protested at the sore one

Hope you can work your way through

london11 · 11/06/2008 19:40

Does anyone charge set amounts for meals? i.e. £1 breakfast, £2 dinner

If so could you tell me what you charge please, and do you charge more for a older child who would eat more than a toddler?

Thanks in advance.

LoveMyGirls · 11/06/2008 19:41

Hi what a day!

Very briefly as I havent been in here for a while i'll fill you all in, things have been hunky dory, we got engaged so i'm getting excited about that, other than that its all been ticking along nicely until today......

Had a feeling pt mindee was going to leave but yesterday I asked mum and she said no definitely staying with me so I turned down a lady wanting a ft space then today mindees mum rings and says she is leaving (through no fault of her own mind you so I'm not blaming her) just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes so I email the lady back and she says yes she wants the space thats great but I have a mindee who shares the space so if i take on the ft (which i can't afford not to do) then I'm going to upset mum of my other mindee which i don't want to do but she only uses me for 5 hours per week so i cant turn a ft mindee away, I cant ask for a variation because i'm taking on new business.

My head hurts. I'm hungry.

Huff, i'm doing all I can do aren't I? Have i missed something?

KatyMac · 11/06/2008 20:34

Sorry London - I don't charge for meals

take on the f/ter - write to OFSTED & say mum wants more hours (after saying she wanted to leave so you started the F/Ter)& get variation

PinkChick · 11/06/2008 20:46

LMG can you not say mindee is existing and they want more hours/the same as this other child?

LoveMyGirls · 12/06/2008 07:23

I'll have a think about the variation in the meantime the lady wanting to start wants to start in the next couple of weeks but i need to do 4 weeks notice with mindee whose leaving, waht can i do? Don't want to lose this new customer but obviously i'm legally obliged to work the notice period. I'm going to try asking the mum but i've got a feeling she will want me to do the notice.
