I interviewed someone last Friday as a mother's help/part time nanny ....`

A mature lady, she had been advertising on Gumtree.
Anyway, we got on alright (altho I had been a bit taken aback by the eyeliner and wooden jewellery at first).
I thought she may well be suitable, with a little 'firm direction', and asked if she would be interested in the position (we had spent 90 minutes discussing her experience, and exactly what the job involved). She indicated that she would be delighted to be considered.

So we arranged for her to come back on Saturday, so DH could meet her (I didn't involve him last time, thought he should have an opinion this time), and she could meet DS.

She didn't turn up, didn't phone, nothing....
Would you try to call her to find out what happened, or just keep looking???

How rude!

I would send her a text and ask her what happened but keep looking as she is possible unreliable

agree with phraeed - very rude!!

Def sounds unreliable, so do keep searching

good luck

I had a couple of them - we hadn't got as far as actually arranging a time, but after a successful first interview I'd asked them to come back to meet DS, which they'd been dead keen about, but then disappeared off the face of the earth, only to emerge a couple of weeks later having accepted a f/t job elsewhere rather than my p/t job they'd previously been dead keen on

Onwards and upwards

I probably need someone younger anyway....

I am trying to find someone who can do school pickups/evenings 3 days per week in termtime, and 2 or 3 full days per week in the holidays. It's very difficult.....
