Finding childminders in my area

Dear All,

I had a great childminder who looked after my first child when I went back to work. She was near to my work place so I took my son into London with me.

I now have two children and getting them both ready and into London would be a very hectic start to the day, so I am looking for a childminder in the Godalming / Guildford area to start from September. I am a teacher so it would be term time only for two days a week.

I know this should probably go on the advertising board but wanted to try as many ways as possible!

Does anyone know a good childminder with vacancies or have any advice as to how they found their childminder?

Look forward to ideas / advice.

you could try posting on mumsnet local guildford.
You can get a list of childminders from Surrey County Council Childrens Information Service.
Also some will list online at www.childcarelink.gov.uk

Call Surrey CIS 08456 011777 and request the vacancies list for your area. You may find it lists some childminders who are not listed on childcarelink.
