Hi there
I'm a childminder living in Richmond and hoping to move to Brighton (probably central) and want to carry on childminding. I'm wondering if any of you have any tips or advice... are there lots of jobs? Any fab places to go? Any little gems of info would be great as I will be very new to Brighton.
Many thanks
lucy

I don't live in Brighton, but in Horsham, however I know Brighton have got childminding networks & that their Early Years team are quite active with childminder things. I would give them a ring to see what they say about the busy areas etc. You could also try ringing minders on their CIS list & explaining what you want to know. Some will probably help you a lot & others will feel threatened & be unhelpful.
Sorry not too sure what there is going on in Brighton & Hove activity wise as tend to use other places around Sussex, mainly because parking in Brighton is expensive & a nightmare!

Fabulous thanks very much - good to know that that the E Years team are active cos they have been brilliant in richmond. Yes I have had a look at the CIS list and a bit disappointed to see that most childminders charge between £3.25 and 4.00 per hour. I have been charging £7.50 so it's going to make a huge difference to my income I guess.....
Are you a childminder badgerhead?
Thanks so much for replying :0
