looneytune · 06/06/2008 10:05

Hiya PC Started at 9.30 and working with this little baby til 2pm (she's napping atm) and then do the 2 school runs from 2.30pm and after schooler usually goes around 5.30pm and then that will be it!!!

Not expecting presents as staying in touch with them all very regularly throughout maternity leave. Only one is actually leaving (after schooler) but we'll be in close touch as her family are the ones who are on standby for ds if needed when I have baby.

Picnic sounds nice, enjoy! Didn't know you were on a diet - good luck with it LMGs has done very well with hers.

Catch you later x

PC, what is the name of the tabs you have been given ? [nosey]

ML - hope you are enjoying the sunshine.

I have been rushing around tidying/cleaning/shopping/out for coffee, I cram in everything on my day off.

southernbelle77 · 06/06/2008 13:07

Hey all! Ohh, hope you are enjoying your last day looney!

Hope something comes of your enquiry PC. And well done on the weight loss, that is great. DH and I have decided that after the baby is born we are both going to go on a really big health kick as we both need to loose weight! Hope you had a nice time at the park too.

Hope your day is going well ML.

And I'm just jealous of your day off Boys! Sounds lovely!

Well I am just taking a break and having lunch! The morning was going great. Have baby mindee, 2 1/2 yr old mindee and dd this morning so we did our fathers day cards as mindee not coming next week so was only chance to do it. We then went to the play area over the road. Mindee falls over and scraps knee and SCREAMS. Got to clean it and put antisecptic spray on but that was all I was allowed to do (and wasn't really allowed to do that but just said I had to). Then just SCREAMED. Finally managed to calm down and was ok. Then was collected and it started again. I knew it would happen. Not suprised as when you see your parents all the emotions comes out again.

Baby mindee now asleep and dd having lunch so I thought i'd have a quick pop on here!

baby mindee is going really well. What a little treasure to look after ! And even sleeping in the cot today (other 2 days would only sleep in car seat) so that's great. Not sure what we will do this afternoon, but would like to get out again I think if the weather holds!

PinkChick · 06/06/2008 13:14

Aw poor you and mindee Belle, i had similar thing happen last night mindee and dd were playing in playroom, laying on floor, mindees stood up and then without looking walked backwards and actually STOOD on dd's head! and as i was shouting X watch dd, she turned round and SAT on her head!!!!!..grabbed her up quicj and got dd up, dd was OBV very upset but then mindee started howling!??..i was cuddling dd so brought mindee over but i i was telling mindee it was just ana ccident she just needs to be more careful, but dd was in pain...obv dd needed me more, but i ahd to calm both down!..dear me!...then when dd was ok(no damage!) mindees mum came and it started all over again!..told mum what happend and she said she's 'like this'!..i think she thought she was going to be in trouble, but it WAS and accident, just carelessness, so no issue..but i guess you're right when mum/dad arrives your emotions run over and also she may have thought mum would tell ehr off too..bless...poor dd...she ahd her shoes on too!

PinkChick · 06/06/2008 13:17

Sorry Ju, the tabs are meant to make me feel full, so i eat less...went to gp monday as am fed up of being so overweight and cant seem to pull myself together to do it myself, i just keep failing!..but having the tabs has spurred me on!..i NEED to lose weight as well because my mum has lots of probs now, shes overweight and if i dont do something about me, ill end up the same which is not good, she has trouble getting about due to illnesses caused my weight(and smoking for years-stopped now)

One of the girls on here said you need to ahve bmi of over 30 before they give you them
Theyre called REDUCTIL

BoysAreLikeDogs · 06/06/2008 15:23

Thanks for that

MaureenMLove · 06/06/2008 16:28

Good afternoon ladies! Congratulations for making it to the last day Looney! Keep us all posted.

I'm officially allowed in here rght now, because I have my old mindee and his sister here, whilst Dad is out for an hour! Tis great, this non-minding lark. They are both upstairs in DD's bedroom, with her! I don't think the 3 year old has ever been in there, as I always had rules & regs about her room, but now they are just here to play for a bit, they can go where they like!

One small drawback - haven't got any toys for him to play with, so I've put the telly on instead!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 06/06/2008 16:31

OOoh Mo what are you like !!1

PinkChick · 06/06/2008 17:02

HI all, Hey mo..had call from enquiry earlier, hours are slightly diff but basically its for mum to have a break so she said she can accomaodate me and the other children..theyre coming for a visit on tues, hoefully i didnt put her off/confuse her with ratios when trying to explain i couldnt have her Lo after 3pm ..we'll see, sounds nice..last mindee waiting to be picked up, playing with dd then were off to do big shop as got app with kitchen company in morn!..hopefully we'll be able to pick one, get good price from builder and off we go!

vInTaGeVioLeT · 06/06/2008 18:46

wow - looney's last day? that went quick!
good luck x

oh and congratulations to crace i missed that too!

been a bit slack @ keeping up with the staffroom lately - been busy in real life!!!

might be giving up the c/minding - recently gave notice to 2 mindees, which leaves me with only 2 - of which one leaves july and the other starts full time school in the new year - maybe time to look at being employed again

i'd love to work in a pre-school or nursery as i love that age group & want term-time work only [maybe c/m in school holidays] d'ya think i need qualifications for that type of work? [i have none i was a very bad girl @ school!]

vInTaGeVioLeT · 06/06/2008 18:48

have you seen that c/m AIBU thread?
is it just me or . . . . . ?

OFSTEDoutstanding · 06/06/2008 19:51

Hi everyone have posted in the AIBU topic was wondering if you could pop over and let me know your views. Wasn't sure where to post tbh but this has really got me down this week TIA this thread

PinkChick · 06/06/2008 20:25

southernbelle77 · 06/06/2008 21:09

looneytune · 06/06/2008 21:33

Evening all.......I'm done (can you tell I'm a bit chuffed?? )

PC - pleased dh is being supportive, it's really important!

ML - cheers, crace has emailed me And yes, I'll post photo's as soon as I can after the event

Boys - cheers. For me it's taken forever to get to this point but now I'm like OMG, it's really soon. I still can't get my head round being due 2 weeks on Monday! I'll TRY and rest but nesting has been taking over. I even did loads of gardening yesterday in my couple of hours between mindees as it's just looked messy to me - like that matters to baby lol!! Hope you had a nice day off.

Belle - oh, nightmare But yeah, kids do that as soon as they see their parents don't they. How you feeling?

Mo - you rebel!! Anyway.....you're always official allowed in, even when no other kiddies. How's it all going anyway? Did you make the right decision to get a 'grown up' job? And I'm not sure if you saw other messages on other threads but I STILL haven't heard about your holiday!!!

Vi - not sure about quals but deffo look into it, now's the time to change if you're going to (i.e. before Sept!) Yes, seen THAT thread - can't be bothered to post as she obviously has just one thought in her head!

OO - about that family, I couldn't handle it and personally would have to give notice but I understand it's not always that simple. Don't know what to suggest? How you keeping anyway?

Oh.....chinese just arrived (celebrating!!!). Have a fab evening and weekend all xx
