CM CLUB: Question about variation

bonkerz · 03/06/2008 21:41

I am asking for a friend childminder.

She currently has a little boy 3 days a week and his mum has just had a baby. The mum obviously wants the childminder to have both children 3 days per week from Sept but it will just be for 6 months as she has to pay back her maternity IYSWIM.

The childminder will be over her numbers for 2 of the days from approximately 8-2 and wondered if she would qualify for a variation under the continuity of care rule?

Any help or info greatly appreciated, also how does she go about applying and what things should she put in letter etc.

TIA

Bonkerz, I'd say she's very likely to get it for that reason. I've found them very good at agreeing for continuity of care reasons.

If you email me (info at helenslittleangels dot co dot uk), I'll send a template letter for an idea plus a table that ofsted like to have showing ages etc.

I'm off to bed now but this is my last week of work before maternity leave and I'm lucky enough to have tomorrow daytime off so I can sort that out tomorrow
