Half term is now over, so I'm up early. Oh it's hard getting back into the swing of waking up at 6.30.

Shoshe · 02/06/2008 06:59

I have a Inset day, so full house with all 7 of them! Think we will need to go out where the bigger boys can run and climb

southernbelle77 · 02/06/2008 07:03

Morning! Yep half term certainly over so back into the full swing of things this morning! DD slept really well last night which is great (she's NEVER been a good sleeper!) so I'm feeling ok this morning! Got to go and collect 2 mindees this morning before dropping dd off at preschool. Then thinking I will take mindees to playhouse before collecting dd at lunch time. Then back for lunch, and think we might start some fathers day crafts this aft as the weather is meant to be awful! Then all of us back out for school pick up then back here for HV to arrive and hopefully play for mindees and dd (outside would be wishful thinking so talking to HV will be hard!) and then dinner before mindees go home and I can relax!!

eleanorsmum · 02/06/2008 07:41

Morning all. not been around for a while, been very busy with dh off for half term too! he's like having another kid around! anyway he's back at work today so we have dd and one mindee. off to library this morn.

am really struggling for ideas of things to do at home with a very chatty 20month old and a non speaking 15mth old. we tend to just play in the garden or with the toys but i'd like to actually make something with them but am struggling.

Hi all it's KS can you all have a peep at my child protection thread if you get chance please?

Half term over here too now and I am having a fairly quiet day. Just taken ds for a walk to tire him out!

mumlove · 02/06/2008 10:26

Back to school today for DD and mindee, so just relaxing with 2 younger mindees as they were both on holiday last week .
No cm group either so will start fathers day crafts as all mindee only come partime.

Enjoy your day.

Afternoon ladies. How are we all? I'm home early to wait for a delievery, so i thought I'd pop in. Got to go and paint a cupboard soon though, so I haven't got long! PC, hows your brother?

PinkChick · 02/06/2008 13:46

Ok chick, survived an(already booked and paid for seperate rooms jobby) holiday with her and kids, back at work, looking for own place, ok on outside, inside, blind in one eye, very stressed / nervous, not good..we dont talk that much think somethings have broken that bond, but he does know where i am if he ever needs me, but as im not a big part of his life i cant help without it looking like im interfeiring, so ive got to let him decide and make the right descisions..we're trying to get a weekend were his DC and my dd can get together to play.

Are you off back to work then or early finish?
Are yous till enjoying it?

Hi everyone

Thought I'd pop in quickly as although I went out earlier to pick ds & mindee up from school, I came home empty handed so I'm free .

I'm soooooooooo glad this is my last week!!! Due 3 weeks today and it's hard to walk let alone work

Catch you all later x

MaureenMLove · 02/06/2008 15:55

We chose an MFI one in the end. Giggio is te design. We bartered like anything and ended up with about 3,000 off, plus appliances!

The kitchen is being delivered on 17th, but there's huge amounts of prep to do first. We had a bit more plastering done at the weekend. The old door way and old window wall have been arched off and look super! Another door way blocked up, which is why i'm painting a cupboard! It used to house the fridge, but will be a pantry/larder now. So much sanding to do and the whole house is a cloud of dust!

Shoshe · 02/06/2008 16:03

Looney just where did you leave Ds and mindee????????????????????

looneytune · 02/06/2008 16:24

Get this............2.30pm left to collect 2 kids. Couple of mins later phone rings so pull over....mindee's dad apologising, she's not in today so no need to collect today or tomorrow Decided to go ahead to ds's school anyway as in car. Just near school a friend sees me and flags me over.....reminds me that she was due to have ds over til after dinner tonight (first time) and insisted I came home but she'd drop him round if he was upset (as I hadn't pre-warned him). So, turned round and came back with just same mindee and no schoolies Ds is fine with friend and I'm due to pick him up at 6.15pm - not bad eh!

Saved me waddling to school this afternoon

Also......my lovely mindees mum who on Fri said I only have to work 2 out of the 5 days I'm paid for this week, has today said that apart from today, she's happy for me to have her dd on just Thurs from 9.30-12ish which means no more school runs with pram, no more making mindees food etc. My last week is turning out to be a pretty easy one!!! Just one tiny baby tomorrow from 9.30-2 then I'm done for the day Wednesday I have no kids til pick mindee up from school, Thurs and Fri easy days too. I'm sooooooooo relieved!!!

Now.....where do I store my 2 highchairs, 2 travel cots, 3/4 car seats, prams & fireguard for the next 12/13 weeks????

Shoshe · 02/06/2008 16:40

I thought they had been abducted to 'The Island' if so I was going to volunteer to search for them, (you couldnt, much to near to dates) was going to ask Sawyer to help

Or thought maybe you had left them at school

BoysAreLikeDogs · 02/06/2008 17:46

Inset day here today, but one family on long weekend so mine plus 2. That's all.
