3 short days or 2.5 days in nursery ?

We will need to put our baby in nursery for 2.5 days a week (due to not being able to drop any more income). Cost aside would it be better for the baby to do 2.5 days in nursery so I get an extra afternoon with them or to split this across 3 days so the 3 days they are in nursery are a bit shorter?

Most want whatever is better for our baby in terms of maximising time they are with family rather than in nursery

I would do the 3 shorter days first to see how it goes, baby is probably going to be put down to sleep for afternoon nap after lunch so you really don’t want to dispute this routine.

I’d go for three short days. Your baby will soon get used to that daily routine when he goes to nursery, arriving and leaving at the same times each day - a half day might throw him under off kilter for a bit.
