I am a childminder who needs an assistant!

Please help! i am an Ofsted registered childminder who absolutely loves what I do....it is the best job in the world. However, I have always worked slightly differently from other childminders in that I employ an assistant..the children that we look after are extremely loved and close to us, but disaster has struck....my lovely assistant has fallen ill. and it looks like it it could be long term! Just wondered if people are interested in this kind of job these days...it should really be perfect as a mum, I know it is for me with my 2, but thought i would ask as I would like to know how people feel about a) working with children when you already have your own, and b) how you feel about childminders who work this way! x

I now work as a playgroup assistant and have two of my own . It fits in well with school hours and holidays , pay not brillant even though I now have got my NVQ 3.

Although hard work at times I find it quite interesting to see how children learn and develop through play.

Childminder assiatnt - was on my course with a girl who did this . I dont know how much you would pay and whether it would attract a Mum or suit a younger person because of the wage.

On the other hand it may suit a Mum who is thinking of going into childminding but not as yet want to take the big step.

I am a nanny who would quite like to have different experiences.

I would love to do this type of thing
