Good morning everyone.

Very busy day, school run then doing a sponsor Toddlethon in the park. The mindees enjoy this very much as they can watch a clown and go on the little train ride as a thankyou for raising money.
Better go and finish packing lots of drinks.

Hope you all have a great day.

Sounds fab ML we did a toddle woddle a few weeks ago to raise money for meningitis, hopoe you have a fun time!

southernbelle77 · 21/05/2008 07:57

Morning!

My before schoolies aren't coming today but still getting paid so that's all good

2 mindees and dd this morning. Off out to meet some other minders and also dd's best friend is going to be where we are going so she will have a great time too!

Need to buy a new booster seat for the car. Older mindees keep moaning that the one we have is really uncomfortable!!

Hav fun ML. Sounds like a great day! Hope the weather is nice for you too. It's great (although a tad cold!) here at the moment!

Hope you have a good day too LMG

southernbelle77 · 21/05/2008 07:59

Shoshe · 21/05/2008 08:08

\our Toddle is in June, so a while yet, (and it's not sunny here )

LoveMyGirls · 21/05/2008 08:25

I have officially got the best parent's ever, my mindee's mum's are both so so fab!

One is in the process of getting a new job, changing hours etc so basically has offered to pay me the same but only wants me to work half the hours (infact less than half!) She even said thank you when I send her dd home ill.

The other knows i'm going away for 2 weekends away and I only have her ds on a friday so she's arranged for him to be picked up early one week and the other week I've only got him for 2 hours and she is still paying me, I would happily have worked but she's insisting, I'm so happy to finally have parents who appreciate me and what I do and know when I need a break!

KaySamuels · 21/05/2008 09:43

Hi everyone I am having a stressy day today Think I have to admit I am no longer enjoying this feel that my sanity and ds's confidence is being worn down. Trouble is what else can I do? I love working with kids, feel ds needs me (more than am giving him at the mo), and need a full time wage. Aargh! NVQ should be finished july but ds not full time at school until saept 09.Haven't been in fo a while how are the baby bummps (and everyonbe else doing)?

PinkChick · 21/05/2008 11:16

Hi All, sorry you'r ahving crap time KAy..problem mindee's?

Mumlove, hope your toddlethon goes well, i got something in post alst week about something similar..its still on top of cupboard tho, not read throuhg properly
Belle, hope you ahve a lovely day, sounds liek fun, nice when you can actually do 'nice' things

Shosh..i AM DISGUSTED!..i was reading your other cooments on fireman thread!..you filthy minded madam!>

Well mindee(baby) asleep, mindee(3) in huge strop, wont eat, wont play, wont put coat or shoes on to play out with me and baby earlier, doesnt want tv/dvd on, wont colour in..so hes sat here with a face on him all miserable and stroppy and sighing loudly so ill give him some attention and he's just not getting it(obv i am making sure he's ok, but have worked my backside off all morning trying to please him, so now he can come out of his mood in his own time!)

Off to take hime to school in half hour, then pick up second baby mindee and off to park and village to buy some double creama nd dairy milk...think me and dd will make choccy truffles tonight

Have a fab day everyone.xxx

Hi girls, just back from a harrowing visit at the hospital for the pre-op stuff on Friday. We have to be there at 6am despite being second on the roster, baby should be out by mid day. Will text SouthernBelle with updates.

I will probably drop off now, nerves are getting to me and I just have so much to do. I think my teeth are going to fall out of my head if I can't start to relax!

Oh well, not much longer - it's just crazy to me it's almost time. See you lot on the other side!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 21/05/2008 13:34

Good luck crace

LoveMyGirls · 21/05/2008 13:35

Crace get a cup of tea and sit down with me while you think about everything that you need to do, write a list then you will feel much more organised, what do you think?

BradfordMum · 21/05/2008 13:45

I'm starting to lag now. 4 month old baby boy started today at 6am. Mum had to be at work for 7am and doesn't drive.
To top that, he's decided he doesnt't like his milk any more, and for the last week has been making it really difficult for mum to feed him. Went to toddlers this morning and between 3 c/m's, we managed to get 3 oz down him!
Sleeping now, together with other mindie - 2 yr old boy.
Off at 2.45 to collect mindie frm school, then baby is going home at 3.30, 2 yr old will be collected at 5.30. So it'll be a long day for me today!

Sally xx

LoveMyGirls · 21/05/2008 13:54

Have a sit dwon and have a break BM, it is such a long day, I started at 7.15am and dd2 has decided she no longer needs a nap I have managed to convince her otherwise and all 3 are now asleep at least i've been able to tidy up and have lunch, I'm contemplating walking to school and back what do you think? I'll have 2 in the double buggy and dd2 walking (she'll be 3 end of sept) I could drive part of the way there and just walk through the woods? (if i walk all the way from here it's about an hour round trip with dd2 walking) if I walk through the woods it's about 30 min round trip and we can go to the park for a bit and still have time to ocme back and have dinner.

KaySamuels · 21/05/2008 13:57

Thanks for support earlier .

Just me and baby mindee her now who is snoozing so much more chilled. Had two tired teethers and a whingy ds this morning. I am waiting for a paymment from last week, should arrive this aft . Have decided if it does I'm not cooking and we will be off out to tea, me dp, ds and two step sons.

Wow crace can't believe it's nearly time already! You will be fine sit down with a cuppa and some good biccies and chill.

southernbelle77 · 21/05/2008 14:52

Just a flying visit to ask for some help!

I'm struggling to write the notice letter for after schoolie. have decided I think I will mention that I'm PG, even though it's still early as I think it sounds better than I just don't want to do it! I want to say that I am finding it too hard to get the other children in and out the car 4 times just for one pick up, plus I am finding him very hard work and also he is having a negative effect on dd which I do not like!

so, any way I can put that diplomatically??

Ta

Be back later to catch up with you all

PinkChick · 21/05/2008 19:59

Just put"due to personal circumstances i will be unable to care for x after y date.
My main reason is that i am now pg and finding it increasingly difficult to carry out the school run with the other children, getting in and out of the car etc, so i dont feel i am able to fulfil my role should i carry on...if they ask what the 'other' reason is(as i said main reason) mention his behaviour/problems and say adding to your current situation, it just wasnt working..good luck1

ive got a prob too...took on new child monday, mum / nursery got communication probs, nursery turned up to collect monday and say she still on their books?..mum says misunderstanding and shell sort it, bump into nursery today, they give me a heads up, say this child IS still on there books and is actually going to them thurs and fri..when shes not with me????..they also said beware of swapping/changing/no shows..so mum gives me hours for next few weeks tonight, eratic at min as its her new job, this week im charging her for 2 long days and said we'd even it out when i got hours..so now shes said keep it at that as she maya ctually need 2 long days..which im not over moon about but 8pm finish not too bad..although on these days will also start at 6.45am..mum originally said min of 1 day max of 3...i will not do 3 long days as then i get no time with dd on these days, i need to change her contract to show the longer days being charged so how do i phrase it that i will not work a 3rd late?..she will only be contracted for 2, so can i just say im unavailable?..but id rather get soemthing in writing now so its clear from the start??
TIA

Oh and Crace sweetie, give us a shout if we can help you with anything.xxx

PinkChick · 21/05/2008 20:19

oh and to tempt you into helping me (Ju...)..my truffles are made, ready and delicious!..with choc shaving and cocoa sprinkled over them>

PinkChick · 22/05/2008 13:43

Ahermmmmmm >>!!!!!

KaySamuels · 22/05/2008 14:11

Ooh that's tricky PC, can you have a review meeting with her? Explain 2 evenings only, and reiterate that you need to know hours etc. Good luck!

PinkChick · 22/05/2008 14:14

Thanks Kay, here have 2 truffles..prob is about meeting is mum rushes here in taxi to drop off and rushes back in taxi to pick up..doesnt even come in and that was first day!, think ill just get proper contracts ordered, re fill in and state in the hours box"contracted hours = 2 days at x till x times only, other hours to be arrnged and discussed, maximum of 2 late nights per week" or something to that effect?
