Anyone know how to activate a BusyBees voucher account?

Oh the joy of Childcare Vouchers continues.

Currently I am trying to signup with BusyBees.
All was going well, paperwork done, login details sent for the computer system.
But, they didn't send a PIN, which the computer system requires. Instead they have provided a charged phone number to call - which is only open 9am-5pm Mon-Fri (I have just found out, having just called it - no mention on the paperwork that it was only open those hours).

Do voucher providers not think that us childcarers may actually do some work! Oh it annoys how they think we have the time to spare during our working day to call their helplines.

Ahh.... Rant Over.

Busy Bees have sold their voucher scheme - it has to be one of the worst. I have had them for 7 years, and thankfully only one parent on them now.

The school set up their own, which anyone can do, I was reading the tax web site today for the info for a parent as she can claim while she is pregnant and then on maternity leave.

Sorry no help to you, but just my experience!

I got as far as the Citrix servers - yes, from using other providers (Faircare, Accor) it does seem a bit overkill.

Have until July to sort it out, will have to wait till half-term now, as that is the next time I may get a chance to make the call during their opening hours.

Oh ... and when you do get time to make that call, be prepared to be in a queue. For a long long time. Though they are helpful when you do get through.

(Also - they have a "call you back" system - it might be worth you calling out of hours and leaving a call back request.)

Thanks for the tip. What will they want to know when they call? Most likely I would not have the paperwork with me or internet access (at least, not which I can use to access their Citrix server - doubt my mobile phone will do that).

I gave up and emailed them. They then called me with my pin number.

Their website is a bit of a nightmare but I have had no problems getting payment which is the main thing!

Do you have a different number as the one I used was open until 8pm. However, I went back to work in June 2007 and it took them until Jan 2008 to sort out the vouchers. They kept 'losing' the 4 signed declarations they send me which were returned recorded delivery. Once it is set up though you don't have to do anything else.

Thought I had better give an update.
I left them a message on Thursday evening.
Friday morning, they called - went through the questions they had asked for on the paperwork, and gave me my PIN.
So with luck that should now be it. Will have to see what happens.
