Got told off for ignoring you lot yesterday, so I thought I'd better open up and get the coffee on.

Bit chilly here and its just started raining too. Its my first payday today and I've just looked at my bank account! I'm quite happy today! Mind you, anything would have been a bonus, I haven't been paid since 9th April!

Just gonna scream at DD for a bit and I migh make it back before work! If not, bye!!!!

Should think so too!

its chilly and wet here after beautiful weather for a week! was going to Honeybrook Farm, but now will stay in and do painting.

MaureenMLove · 15/05/2008 07:38

Why does it take 1 hour to get up, wash, straighten hair and put school uniform on? In that same hour, I have showered, dried hair, stacked dishwasher, made lunches, checked bank balance and logged on here! She's getting on my wick now!

Morning - it's not so bad here - sunshine peeping through the clouds & getting warmer

MaureenMLove · 15/05/2008 07:52

Morning Katy. Hows things going with the nursery plans and what about this change of title from CM to whatever Ofsted want now?

BTW, steer clear of Norwich this weekend if you can. DH and about a dozen of his mates are on an 'End of Season football club beano!' They arrive on Friday and I think they plan to watch FA cup final in Norwich somewhere on Saturday, followed by a club! Apolgies in advance for drunken South London lads! They're all pretty harmless, all married old farts really, but you know what they're like en masse!

Morning eveyone.

Wet, wet and cold. I will need to hunt out the rain coats again!

Shoshe · 15/05/2008 07:57

Cos Mo IT JUST DOES [dramatic twelve year old expression]

MaureenMLove · 15/05/2008 08:06

She's gone now, thankfully! Its bloody exhausting, isn't it? We had a HUGE barney yesterday. DH had already gone, that's why. She wouldn't have dared if he was in the house. She put her hand up and said, 'just don't talk to me' I nearly ripped her head off! I was hyperventillating!

Anyway, registration is at 8.30 and I need to finish my tea, so I'll sign off till tonight. Have a nice day all. Lots of love to the PG ones, hope you're all OK. D-day next Friday for Crace, right?

Have a good one! x

Morning all - Got a 2yr old arriving at 8.45, and then the 2nd settling in of a 4 month old coming at 9.30 for 3 hours. I had baby yesterday for 1st time and collected him on the way to toddlers. Fortunately it wasn't too hectic, and we seemed to cope ok! He starts next weds at 6am eeekkk!!! Weds one week, then tues weds thurs the following. My other 2 yr old has finished for the summer - Mum is a teen parent and left school last week. She's going to college in sept, so He will be back with me. I've had him since 3 weeks old and already missing him!
I'm just hoping care to Learn who fund his place will let me have a retainer over the holidays, as I can't fill his space if he's coming back in sept, but almost 4 months is too long to go without anything!

Bright and sunny here, but quite cool.

Sally x

BradfordMum - I have 1 funded by care to learn and am waiting for the retainer form to arrive so can fill it in and sign it. Then it's new forms again for september.

southernbelle77 · 15/05/2008 08:22

Morning all!

Nice to see you pop in Mo!

Working today. One mindee was supposed to arrive at 8, but as usual is late! Going to have to say something as next week have school run!

Other mindee coming at 9. Usually have them beginning of the week rather than the end but means they can come to drop in which will be nice for them!

Had my haircut yesterday on my afternoon of freedom It was SO nice being pampered for an hour and a half and not worrying about anything! Had quite a dramatic haircut (for conservative old me!)and was still getting used to it yesterday, but liking it more this morning! Just got to get used to the sweeping fringe that's in my eyes!!

southernbelle77 · 15/05/2008 08:23

When do we find out about how much ofsted are going to start charging for registration?? I got the forms about going on the new registers etc, but they say they have still not made a decision about the registration fee.
Hopefully this means they are considering not putting it up to a ridiculous amount as suggested!

crace · 15/05/2008 11:06

Hi guys, sorry been MIA - just up to my eyeballs entertaining dd (easier when minding!!) and trying to clean out house and get things set up. It's a week tomorrow I go in for section and then staying for who knows how many days and I just feel stressed.

Hey - does someone want to be a text buddy and post birth announcement? As I will be away for many moons and all? email me at carrierace at hotmail dot com

Hope everyone is ok, will probably lurk for the next week - my thoughts and nerves are keeping me from most things these days!

southernbelle77 · 15/05/2008 11:38

Urgh, had a Bad Week, too many things gone wrong to detail, just glad I've finished for the week.. Oh no I haven't I'm on a course for the next few Saturdays, continuing my Diploma. Deep joy.

Hope you have all had a good week.

southernbelle77 · 15/05/2008 17:24

Oh god, someone please tell me why I agreed to having an afterschool mindee for the mornings tomorrow and next week, starting at 7AM! I'm not that organised to be ready for 7am! And mindee winds dd up something rotten so not looking forward to 2 hours of it in the morning!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 15/05/2008 17:26

Ah well, it's not forever, and being a CM means that you can offer flexibility, which I am sure your parents appreciate.

MaureenMLove · 15/05/2008 20:21

I just went nextdoor for something and the little boy said, 'when I am coming to your house again, Mo?' Bless him. He's only 2 and doesn't get why he doesn't come to my house anymore.I said he could pop in during half term, when his sisters will no doubt be in here with DD, and he just kept saying, 'can I pop in now?, can I?, please?, just pop now?' I really, really badly want him to fall asleep on my lap so I can smell his head!
