hi everyone my daughter is going to be in reception in september and i was planning to use tax free childcare for afterschool clubs. I noticed this statement.
"You cannot claim for free childcare if you’re working for care outside school hours if your child is attending a state-funded school nursery or reception class. You may be able to claim if your child is attending an independent school nursery or reception class."

does this mean i have to wait until year 1 to use it? i can't understand the logic.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I think that’s referring to funded hours (eg 30 hours) rather than tax free childcare. My child is in reception and we use TFC for before and after school club.

Yes that's referring to the 15/30 free hours, not the tax-free childcare. They are both administered through the sane portal.

@Feedingpillow @FrannyScraps thank you that’s really helpful! Sounds so obvious now but I was getting quite frazzled reading everything
