Send a CAT to virginiawolfisnotdead. She has started a yahoo group and I'm sure it will be very helpful to many of us. I know there are loads of us on here. I hope everyone finds there way to the yahoo group...

See you there...

Oh, and I've started a topin on the yahoo group about a meet-up. So everyone come say when and where and we'll have a good time I'm sure.

I've signed up, and I think I've replied, although the message doesn't seem to have "gone through". will wait and see (complete technophobe, me)

I tried, but it didn't go through. Not sure if CATing is case sensitive, but when I tried VirginiaWoolfisNotDead it worked.

laura032004 · 10/05/2008 06:33

Not case sensitive, I can see now I've got an extra 'o' in my Woolf

foxinsocks · 10/05/2008 07:43

why do you want a closed group?

AtheneNoctua · 10/05/2008 19:01

Because sometimes you just want employer perspective, and sometimes nanny's friend comes on to publicise the whole thing and turn it into a really awkward situation... when employer was just genuinely seeking some much needed advice/support.

foxinsocks · 10/05/2008 19:04

ah right. Think I must have missed something. Think it's a shame to take stuff off board though tbh.

AtheneNoctua · 10/05/2008 19:22

On a completely unrelated subject, there's a SW London meet-up brewing. Fanciy joining us at Brula in Twickers? Would be lovely to meet you.

Briefly big big money worries getting housing benefit ,leaving Dh to get the house repossed. As you can tell I am skint . LOL

WanderingTrolley · 11/05/2008 22:28

I used to be a nanny, am not a nanny employer.

Just wanted to say good luck with your group and, as nannynick pointed out on an earlier thread, I also hope you keep posting on mn. Even though I v rarely work as a nanny now, it's always interesting to see the employers' pov. I can absolutely see why you would have an off board group though. Huge shame about the stalking nanny friends, and stalking nannies. Professional embarrassment that.

If anyone wants my twopennuth, my email is wtrolley at gmail dot com. I am not in the habit of passing info on to lunatics anyone but might have some insight. Dont' want to crash the group though. Good luck.

Holly29 · 14/05/2008 15:09

Would someone point me in the direction of how to find out how to CAT?

AtheneNoctua · 15/05/2008 14:36

it's "contact a mumsnetter" in the blue bar at the top of the page. But, this group is no more.

Also, I noticed you are not accepting CATs. So, just so you know, noone can CAT you.
