I am extremely ill and looking for emergency childming over this bank holiday weekend but no one i call on a list of over 75 people in my area does any emergency childminding or knows of anyone whe does.

missed opportunity here for someone to make money.

oh well shall have to dream up some other alternatives.

Do not contact social services unless you've been told you've only got a few days left to live. Unbelievably bad advice.

The last people on earth you want poking around in your private life are social services.

You could contact the local childcarelink number in the morning as they may be able to help you find someone. I would look at their site and you might find a childminder off there that will help as only a cover thing. I know that there are paperwork stuff to do, but as an emergency that can be done quickly for you.

Hope you feel better soon. I have just had 2 days being sick, with 2 of my 3 being sick as well with me, and my husband is away at the moment. It is really hard at the weekend to find anyone that can help.
