Will returning to university affect my childcare costs?

my partner is thinking about returning to university to do his teacher training. We have a three year old in nursery and a one year old with a childminder, both get 15/30 hours funding as we’re working. He’ll have to leave his current job to go to university, will this affect our funding? We’re also on universal credit claiming back our childcare costs.

You won't get funded hours if you aren't both working except for the 15 hours universal for 3 year olds.

Only your 3 year old will receive the universal 15 funded hours a week. You won’t be eligible for the extended 15 hours nor the working parent entitlement for your 1 year old unfortunately. I don't know what the repercussions will be with universal credit though.
