Universal credit and childcare

Hey,

I'm a newly single mum of two and have had to apply for UC to live. I work full time, one child is in school and one child is in nursery three days a week and one day at the childminders.
I have uploaded my childcare cost, invoices and bank statements as proof of my childcare costs. I have done this as soon as I have paid them and have been waiting for some of the money back from UC. My childcare costs are over £2000 (two months worth) which I've already paid. I've got £130 and £120 back this month for childcare and I'm confused because it should be a lot more than that. I've tried ringing and putting notes in my journal and nothings happening. They also don't breakdown which invoice they are giving me money for so it's hard to dispute what they've paid. I have three childcare providers so I am unsure which childcare costs they have paid towards. I'm now struggling with money as I have a low paid job and all of my money is going on childcare. I can't afford to pay my mortgage or bills. Has this happened to anyone else. As it's my first time on UC im not sure if im just not understanding how it all works.

Any advice would be great.
Thank you Smile

We've had this a few times since our youngest started at a second setting. For some reason they authorise the first invoice and not the second one.

When I've seen it on our statement I've left a note in the journal saying its been miscalculated. First time they adjusted the payment without even telling me. I just saw the correct amount in my account.

Last time it happened they did explain it was just the second invoice hasn't been approved yet, then they corrected it.

It's an easy fix if you can get through to them. Just very frustrating.
