ihateironing · 30/04/2008 21:48

register, policies for everything, accident book, book for medication and permission slips, permission for outings, childs records, diaries if youve been doing them for the kids (care commission like these, proves youve been communicating), Some sort of activities plan, birth to three book( i think thats what its called, the nutritional gudance book (cant remember what its called), the wee red book about standards.

Ive not had a graded inspection yet but i think they are looking for more proof of parents input, give them a questionnaire about your service, likes dislikes etc and ask them to grade you 1 to 6 like the grading scale.

fire safety record
risk assessments
record of equipment cleaning
any training certificates
up to date first aid certificate.

Ill add more when i have a look through my own stuff later, got to go out to softplay now.

make it up

you wouldn't be the first

KellyKateneedsaholiday · 02/05/2008 15:43

yip i agree, Ive only been keeping my paperwork upto date since about november , before that (whispers) i used to regularly forget about it for weeks a few days

KellyKateneedsaholiday · 02/05/2008 15:48

oops posted too soon. A lot of it activity plans risk assessments etc you can do retrospectively (sounds better than made up ) and say that they are the updated versions cos grading has came in. Start doing it properly as of today and they will see you are doing what you need to and should be ok. You have been doing all these things just not recording them in writing so its not lying.
Let usknow how your inspection goes when it comes.
