Oh, hello love! Yeah, first week finished well. I think it was just such a culture shock at the begining of the week. I made some progress with getting stuck in with the kids and helping. It was really rather nice to be called 'Miss'!

You know how, we all like to blame bad parenting on naughty kids, when really, we know nothing about the child. It could have special needs that aren't immediately obviously. Well, I've seen some very bad cases of badly behaved children this week. I initially wanted to knock his block off, but then the TA explained that he's the one who doesn't get breakfast because he's mum is generally p*ssed and he's dad isn't much better. Really, really sad, but you start, not forgiving their behaviour, but empathysing and talking not shouting.

Just had a call from my brother and need to go off line for 10 mins, but I will be back! Need to search for something for him!

hi all, glad your settling in mo. sounds like a good move. i saw a job advertised that interested me, teaching assistant in a local private school. but dd would have to go to cm for mornings sept till xmas as she doesn't start school till jan. just worrying about all the cm changes etc at mo. scared i can't keep up. ignore me just waffling!

on a better note car fixed again just have to wait and see what goes wrong next cos it will i know! cost £100 so not too bad but still £100 too much! and with the rising price of diesel i might just buy a good coat and WALK! will be able to from sept as dd will be more local! decisions decisions....................

OK, I'm back! DH does like his little de-mob of the week, when he comes in on a Friday night! Normal husbands go out and don't come home til closing, not mine, he only goes for 2 hours!

Anywayyyyy! My life this week! I think I'm going to like this job! I've been trying to distance myself from the horrid girl! I'm sure she's lovely, with her own people, but she ain't my cup of tea!

Talking of tea, I've had really bad caffine withdrawal this week! It's taken me til today to work out why I've had a headache everyday. On Monday, I only had 1 cuppa in the morning, because I was worried about things like where the loos were etc, and I got a really bad headache. Same on Tuesday and Wednesday, but I found as soon as I had a cuppa when I got home it went. So today, I had 2 cups with my breakfast and 2 during the day and I was fine. Just started the begining of pain just before hometime, so I wizzed home and had 2! I'm so used to having at least 5 in the morning! I'll have to cut down during the holidays, when it doesn't matter so much if I have a headache!

Jeez! DH is cooking a steak and the kitchen is full of smoke! Should I help d'ya think? Nah!

It may not be caffine - it might be dehydration - try having water as well

MaureenMLove · 25/04/2008 21:24

Had plenty of water Katy, because that's what I thought first on Monday night, so I made sure. In my cm days, I could easily drink 8 during the day and possibly another 2 after hours!

I will start to wean myself off it tbh. It can't be good for you, if the withdrawal symtoms are that bad.
