Paying nanny via credit card?

Hi,

I want start utilising my BA American Express (to gain points), so could I pay my nanny by credit card? She is on an official nannytax payroll, but I cannot find any intermediary companies who can pay her whilst I pay (them) through a credit card. I pay my credit in full every month. Is this possible?

Does she take Credit Cards?

Even if this were possible you’d have to pay extra- probably 3%- to cover the merchant fee which would more than wipe out your points. Accepting a CC isn’t free.

If she invoiced you using one of those official invoicing apps they accept credit cards to go to her PayPal business account. I'm a childminder and have signed up to an app called 'invoicing' it's an orange tab. I don't know how parents pay me but there is the option for them to pay anyway they like.

Can you pay her via Paypal and link your Amex to your Paypal account?

Wouldn't it count as cash, like a cash withdrawal, and therefore be charged a supplement if you don't pay via an intermediate company?

Either she would need to be set up to take cards (unlikely) or she would need to be paid by a 3rd party who can take cards, again a bit unlikely.
Also, it costs money to take CC's so who would pay that?

You could use your credit card to transfer funds to your Revolut account and pay her bu Revolut
