Good luck love, have a great first day at work. Will be envious of the 'proper' shoes.

lol! Good luck Mo. Hope your first day goes well and that your 'proper' shoes don't give you bisters!

MaureenMLove · 21/04/2008 07:31

You sure about that then?

I peaked too soon. I'm ready and don't need to leave until 8.15! I just need to put my clothes on, which will take about 30 seconds.

Lovely news btw, SB!

shoshe · 21/04/2008 07:37

Have a lovely day mo! we expect a full report by 3.30! enjoy being human again!

MaureenMLove · 21/04/2008 07:44

I slept in my usual manor. From 10 til 6.30, without waking! I'm good at sleeping! I'm so laid back about it, its ridiculous. Thing is, I've got 6 weeks training, which lets face is, isn't going to be rocket science for someone who's been in the child care business for the last 12 years. I'll have my nerves, the day before I am offered to the lions children for the first time on my own!

mumlove · 21/04/2008 07:54

Have a wonderful day Mo, what have you got in your nice and healthy lunchbox today?

Good luck, come and see us later.

crace · 21/04/2008 07:56

Have a good day!!

MaureenMLove · 21/04/2008 07:57

I've got a cheese and tomato roll and a bag of grapes! Nothing fancy!

I'm off now, see you tonight!

looneytune · 21/04/2008 09:15

Oh Mo.....missed you before you went

Hope all goes well and will pop back later to find out how you got on

ROSEgarden · 21/04/2008 10:22

Hope you got my ecard chick?..and hope the kids are gentle with you..see you about 20 past 3

shoshe · 21/04/2008 15:52

Well is she back yet, come on WE WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE REAL WORLD IS LIKE, do you think she heard me

OP posts:
crace · 21/04/2008 15:53

Nah, probably deaf from all the screaming kids today

MaureenMLove · 21/04/2008 16:03

I hear you!!!!

Its Monday and I flew in, got changed for Rainbows and had to tell rl people about my day and had to make a couple of important phone calls that DH in incapable of doing himself!

I've got 10 mins and need more tea! I'll write a proper report after Rainbows, but the day went OK. Shoes were good all day and I've refreshed my mind on Spanish, Maths and Science for Yr 7!

One BAD thing! One of my new colleagues, (the one that is going to get right on my nerves forever!) has the same bag AND lunch box as me! I will have to re-think them both later!!!

shoshe · 21/04/2008 16:17

Get your Mum to write your name on your lunch box, in big letters Mo or sabotage hers

southernbelle77 · 21/04/2008 16:26

Glad it went ok Mo! I guess the downside of going back into the real world is that people might have the same things as you!!

Look forward to hearing more later!

Thanks for the congrats too

MaureenMLove · 21/04/2008 18:33

Gosh, I think I might have 10 mins spare to post! I'm not sure I like this being out of the loop all day! DH txt me at about 12.30 and it just said 'ring me, when you get a chance' I panicked and txt him straight away (in secret, I was watching a PE lesson!) I thought there was a problem, but he just wanted to see how I was getting on!

I was observing a yr 7 class all day. The first lesson was Spanish, and the teacher said, they were a nice bunch to teach and they were. All very attentive. They were the same in English and PE, but when we got the Science, they were likea pack of wolves! Bloody awful. Clearly its all in the teaching, so I need to pick up tips from the Maths & Spanish teacher!

Feels a little daunting now I've done it for one day! However, I'm a big girl and I can handle it. I just need to make sure I can find the line between friend and teacher, to get a bit of respect.

The woman I don't like (already!) knew it all. Whatever I suggested they might get us to do to the others, she corrected me immediately. I didn't warm to her at all. AND she stunk of smoke too! Couldn't wait to get out for a smoke! Now, I like a ciggie, but I can't stand seeing hundles of people outside anywhere, so I just don't do it. She also moaned non-stop about her weight and how she hoped this job would stop her grazing all day and then produced the biggest lunch with white bread, biscuits, crisps etc!

Anyway, I'm off for a nose round the boards to see what you've all been up to all day!

Thanks for listening and caring!

crace · 21/04/2008 19:08

Glad today went so well - sorry about your "colleague", I hate know it alls!

I DO so love the RL gossip though, how fab!

MaureenMLove · 21/04/2008 19:31

The best bit was when she'd stopped whining about needing a fag and me trying to tell her to stop thinking about it and she'd be fine. She stopped one of our other colleagues coming up the corridor and said, 'oh, she's a smoker, I can spot them a mile off. I just know.' Well, you ain't that fab love, coz you didn't spot me!

MaureenMLove · 21/04/2008 19:54

Got your e-card, thanks Rose! What a lovely thought! I'll have more time catch up with you all tomorrow, as I won't have to rush out again as soon as I get in.

vInTaGeVioLeT · 21/04/2008 21:54
