Nanny car insurance

we'd like to loan our car to the nanny for trips with the kids and she's happy to drive it. Tried to add her to our insurance online and was unable to complete it because it seems we need to change all the insurance to a business type car insurance? Does that sound right? Will try and call the insurers when they open but just to check what others have done thanks

Sounds right, she'll be driving it as part of her employment. Your current insurance will be social, domestic and pleasure. I'm a childminder and my insurance is business.

Yes needs to be business but it doesn't cost me any more to add business onto mine so shouldn't on yours
