I have DS1 in reception from 8.50am to 3.15pm and DS2 in pre-school from 12.40 to 3.10pm. DH can pick them up as he finishes work at 2-3pm

I will have to leave for university just after 8am on a Monday and the other day I have to be in is evening to no worries there.

Problems arise when I have to do placements! Those will be 2 weeks in spring term and 4 weeks in summer term. During this time I will have to be free from around 8am every day.

So what I need is someone who can take the DSs at 8 am on a Monday only - drop one at school and keep the otheer one until 12.40 when he needs to be dropped at pre-school and I also need someone who can do the same every weekday for short periods of time.

This is going to be hard isn't it!?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

A childminder sounds like the best bet.

Congratulations, on getting a place at university

KatyMac · 15/04/2008 17:10

Monday Mornings would be a childminder easily

The placements could be tricky - but a childminder may be able to do it (possibly with a variation from OFSTED) or maybe able to share care with anoyher childminder

DS1 wouldn't need a variation just a spcae but the extra days for DS2 might

Ring around & ask

hello schneebly !

have a look at the chilcare pages for sefton, they have a list of childminders..

you should have a bit of a boast first about getting your place, and then panic

i will help as much as i can.

schneebly · 15/04/2008 17:21
