Morning!!

Only one mindee and dd today. We are off to the farm so looking forward to that. The weather looks glorious today and the forecast says it should stay that way all day so even better!

Need to sort out an advert for the local shop again as don't like the one I have on file and I want it back up asap as I really need to get some more work in as potentially working notice with one of my mindees unless dad can find a job soon.

What's everyone else up to today?

hi - everyone
just 2 mindees today but it is still school hols so very long day.
yesterday we played with lego for hours!!! it's nice not to rush about on the school runs as it takes 2 hours out of our day
the sun is shining again here so we might do some gardening and a trip to the park later .

ROSEgarden · 15/04/2008 08:48

heres a puzzler for you....

i have a mindee for 2 hours after school each night, she ususally doestn come through hols and if mum or dad finish early they always pick her up instead of me, so are quite good like that..this hols, i emailed both parents of after schoolys to say if their dd's would like to come a full day each of the weeks(we're off for two) i could do that as im not full and at least then(they pay me full when theyre off) they can get a break and some use of the childcare theyve paid for...so one mindee took the offer up and came last wek and is coming this week too...other mindee didnt say anytrhing and mum text yest to say she knows its short otice but she needs a 'sitter' for wed as her family have let her down..ok..BUT she needs it for the mindee i look after AND her baby sister(1yr) for 5 hours...now ive managed to re jiggle our day as like i say they are normally good, but as she paid FULL last week and her dd(my regular) didnt come (so paid me 10 hours she didnt use), she is now using 5 hours per child on wed, so equivilent hours to her dd and i havent mentioned money...im a bit put out that she thinks an extra child..esp a 1yr old baby wouldnt warrant even a mention about money, but i would feel greedy/cheeky to say anything as in actual fact SHE HAS paid me and extra 10 hours she ahsnt used....now i know those 10 hours are for my usual mindee..but am confused over how to bring this up should it arise again as im not always going to be able to do it and TBH 2 x 1yr old, 1 x 5 yr old 1x 3 yr old and dd(4) will be a lot to handle so am not over the moon?...sorry if i sound like a money grabbing cow, but i need to sort out this in my head..one fee paid, but two children using the space..if you understand that then you're fab

ROSEgarden · 15/04/2008 09:12

and here's another one..mindee who was rushed to docs on friday is back today..still not well, very weak, not ate(although he keeps telling me he's starving?) and we HAVE to go out today as he's not usually here today and i'd planned stuff i needed to do( dd needs school shes, so off to get them, although i can make it fun as ill take them to macdonalds for a cream cheese bagel, then go to central library and art gallery which have things on during hols for littlys..BUT am i going to have to come bac if as like his mum says "he's very weak"????

ROSEgarden · 15/04/2008 13:31

Hi, am hoping soeone is around soon cos im having 'proper day!'..poorly mindee comes we all walk into town(20mins tops) i took buggy incase he got tired, which he did 2 minutes into journey..so he went in buggy and fell asleep!..get into town do what we need to do then take them for lunch...all he'll have is sausage roll..so i get one seeing as he hasnt been eating..he says hes tired again and sits back in buggy and falls asleep again(all this before 11.30 this morning)..we walk home and i text his mum to say we've scrapped the rest of our plans and are off back home, mindee is still not well and i think he needs his bed, i say i will let her know when i get home...mum texts me back saying well hes bound to be tired after being ill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!FFS..shes actually OFF WORK today..yes she may have made plans, but its her child FGS!..why send him to cm knowing i have a full day planned as i do tomorrow and thursday when hes obv still not weell and weak from bug..ive just text back saying hes perked up a little is playing with dd but has slept all wayt her and all way back and its only 1pm, i said todays plans were fine to scrap, but tomorrow i have 4 children and we're at a fun group in morning, so i cant rush back with him and i cant put him in buggy as it will be being used ..shes texxt back to ask why i 'rushed' back if i already had the buggy!....i am sick of ignorant, arsy parents!..its just been a hailstone stoen here, her ds was fast asleep in buggy, no low rider buses come this way, so instead of being mice and warm at playgroup in central library we had to get soaked walking home!!!!...arrrrrgghhhh

MaureenMLove · 15/04/2008 13:42

This was supposed to be E-bay, I must have pressed the wrong favourites button!

Oh well, since I'm here!

If he doesn't perk up to 100% this afternoon ROSE, tell her you can't have him tomorrow. that she had the nerve to ask why you rushed back!

BTW, did I make my FB public? I'm not sure!

ROSEgarden · 15/04/2008 13:45

im not sure chick ill have a look...just talking to dp about it im going to print off my exclusion policy and show her..just detailing that if her child isnt able to join in, in our normal actvitieseither due to illness or other then i cannot give him one to one care and he would need to stay at home until able too...am getting fed up of treding on egg shells and woondering if I didnt make these things clear enough when they signed up?

BoysAreLikeDogs · 15/04/2008 16:34

Hi all

Been busy running around the woods with mindees plus my boys this week (still on easter break)

Rose, I agree he should not come if he is not up to it, no fun for him or your other mindees

SB, hope you enjoyed the farm

Crace, 3 weeks to go where did the time go lol

VV hope it stayed dry for the park

Katy you are so not old

ML sounds like fun

Right I'm off to look at the boards, my stupid 'puter has been playing me up and I've not been here much recently

MaureenMLove · 15/04/2008 16:50

She needs to read what she's signing! We're all guilty of not really reading the small print sometimes, but once its signed, its binding.

Hello everybody!

crace · 15/04/2008 17:28

Fark - dd and I took a late nap - I don't think I did more than doze because I feel like I've been run over. I hate that feeling! And it's 5.15 when we got up. Dd will sleep never now - mistake in other words.

Will take ds and dd out for tea somewhere me thinks as 1) to get her tired and 2) too farking tired to cook.

Question is, where - am in the sticks and toddler friendly food.. not. OH well -off to do a search!

southernbelle77 · 15/04/2008 17:47

I'm knackered!! We've been at the farm ALL day ! It's been great, but I'm blimin exhausted now ! Mindee gone home and dd watching a wee bit of tv before having her (much needed!!) bath!
The weather was lovely, but it was still rather muddy after all the rain we've had!!
Tomorrow have a friend coming over with her littlies so we are staying here. Thought the kids could play in the garden but just looked at the weather and it's turned horrible! Still, it looks brighter for Thursday (please god, make that last!) as going on another outing somewhere with the childminding group!

Will come back and read all later! Too knackered to do that right now

I have been sooooooooooo good and cut the lawn (well bumpy grass) it is glorious here and putting the chairs and table out.

No suppose to cut the graa, as it knackers my shoulders, but as usual DH not about, not actually away till tommorrow, but loading the truck with 32 bikes 4 jump bikes, a ramp and 6 quads, does take some time, so expecting him when I see him!

Annnnnd I see the acupunture lady tommorrow so anything Ive done she can undo then
